Some individuals transcend their field of activity.
Even I was aware Jonah was a great rugby player but, more than that, he was a great human being. Behind the scenes he worked tirelessly for charities and, for someone who'd achieved everything in their professional career, remained modest, soft spoken and, apparently, a "proper gent".
The world needs more like him. Not less.

I saw that, it's very sad, he was a true phenomenon
and as you said, although I never met him myself, everyone who has said how nice he was, that's very rare in our top sportsmen
You will be missed Jonah

40!! That's so so sad. For me the most incredible, sensational player I've ever seen.
RIP big man

It's a terrible shame he couldn't reach his stated aim of making 55 so he could see his lads grow up.
He fitted a lot into those 40 years and will go down as an all-time sporting great.
He made rugby really interesting to watch for a while there, even if he was mostly waltzing through the best we had to offer.

It's a team game and the team have to get the ball to Jonah.
He seemed like a top bloke, very sad.
