Sometimes i get the impression our politicians are more concerned to prove their democratic credentials ("the British people clearly and overwhelmingly voted to leave" - did they?), than to step back and consider on what bases they voted and what is really the right thing to do for the future of the country. My favourite word of the moment is "stewardship" - looking after something for future generations, not for my immediate advantage and next vote. You don't hear it much used.

I hate all this brexit stuff, and while I have my own point of view I have no issue with anyone voting out..or in for that matter if they had their own reasons. While I was disappointed I have huge issue with all this calling everyone names for their own views. We are leaving Europe and thats it, I know a lot of people that voted out and I get their reasons and they are not C.U.N.T.S..
I will fight and defend anyones views, if if they are not the same as mine.
I think this division being created by the many of the people who wanted to stay is causing so much damage and unrest and wont end well.
It might be a good thing.. you never know. Everything happens for a reason.

Everything happens for a reason. Spot on. I disagree with the way it went, but those that I know that voted out, very few of the people I know, did so based on what they considered sound reasoning, they aren't racist or stupid people - I believe they are wrong, but I can't blame them for following their choice through. The people I despise in this process are those that sold the out vote on headline grabbing lies that will never be followed through on as they can't be.

well I have found them extremely useful. However I will try and get over the fact we will not have cream tes in the future. But at least I will be able to buy a toaster powerful enough to make the bread brown xxx Try buying brown bread, that tends to solve the problem. it is going to be banned by the ECJ as politically incorrect

Everything happens for a reason. Solid points, I can't agree with what the politicians did to cause it, nor the cackhanded way they're going about it but I won't insult (most of) the people who voted out for their decision, even if I can't beleive they fell for the bullshit. Can't agree with your final statement, though...it just doesn't add up. If the EU holds together, we're going to be a lot poorer; and if it doesn't, then things'll get far far worse.

I don't know what to beleive. I don't know what will happen. I don't know anywhere near enough about it, and most people don't either. Which is kind of the why this referendum was so ludicrous in the first place. The great British public are nowhere near qualified enough to make this kind of decision.
Fundamentally, I don't hate the decision to leave, I hate the reasons most people voted to leave. It became a left vs right, a battle between the tolerant and intolerant (I'm not suggesting that leavers were all intolerant, just the vocal ones)
Who knows, this could be the best ever decision made for the worst possible reasons. I'm still not convinced but I hope to be wrong.

I am alright Jack. I can always emigrate to New Zealand (Thanks to my daughter living there), but my pension would be worth bugger all in such a situation.
Thinking of the plunging pound, you had to laugh at this person on TV last night claiming that everything was wonderful, as firms have bulging order books thanks to the falling pound. This conveniently overlooks the fact that imported raw materials will cost more as well. #inconvenientfacts

I don't know anyone who voted to leave but that might be because I don't consort with C.U.N.T.S.
How do you block C.U.N.T.S on here? My patience has worn thin I'm afraid.

Might be worth jumping ship yourself then, you are clearly in a bad place at present and sooner or later with that attitude you'll call the wrong person your favourite gutter name
