Well, that'll make them feel good and want to try harder

He can swing the axe at Reed, Pellegrino, Black and Watson as well while he's at it. I'd be quite happy to see Long gone as well, he runs round but does feck all else.

At least it sounds as though he will not fiddle while Rome burns. I cautiously welcome that.

Guess this selling stance was always gonna catch up with us at some point.
The next few weeks will determine the next few years I think.
We are a very confused club right now.
Our poor start against the smaller teams is becoming more abs more worrying.. I don’t give the manager the month..but the deeper internal changes will be the most telling..
I can only see a desperate appointment at this stage..we do have panic and fat sam written all over us.

Never boring being a Saints fan is it? Well, apart from the actual football...

Seems a bit wierd; OK Shlong can't hit a barn door, but the other two have scarcely been given any suitable service for a long time now...it's the over-defensive and slowing-down play that's the issue (not to mention the complete lack of the high press MP2 promised us), which shurely is coming from the training ground.. the coaching team, Tadic and Forster should be the ones top of the list IMO.
But as Channers says, at least there's noises of some sort of action about to occur

Worrying if we are looking to cash in on Gabbiadini too. Would seem to point to new owner trying to grab as much cash as possible before relegation takes 80% of club value.

I can't imagine he invested in Saints expecting us to be in the Championship next season. Selling proven goal scorers like Austin and Gabbiadini would seem to be a mistake though - best just change the tactics so that they get a go with the ball as well as everyone else (and play them together.)

I’m certain he didn’t expect it, but by Les it’s certainly happening.

I can't say I've seen anything to show the new owner is not a poor business man. He has spent £250m on an 80% of a PL club but, by all accounts, appears to have ZERO representation on the board of directors of how said club is run. He has also left the previous owner's DoF to embark on a single handed attempt to get said club relegated where upon it will be worth about 1/10 of what the owner paid for it. He doesn't exactly strike me as a Bill Gates......

to follow the logic of threatening to sell all the strikers he should also sell all the lightweight midfield-failed-wingers who have failed to provide any service to the strikers.
What next, a PLA tank in the SMS car park pre-match to make sure the "customers" toe the party line?
