the club could not care about customers, there only concern is the TV revenue stream TV is the biggest customer. When have clubs cared about the fans, its like saying supper markets don't care about their customers; clubs, supermarkets any business does just enough to make you want to come back. Most companies I've worked in customers are an annoyance.

I guess the difference is in the pre-PL days, revenue was pretty much all from paying supporters, now turnstile money is pretty much an irrelevance so no point even paying lip service to the fans.

When attending fans money mattered we had shit hole unsafe grounds, toilets worse than a crack dens, fences around the pitch; yeah the clubs really cared. They did what they wanted then, it wasn't some golden age of fan engagement.
