Don't we all remember that this is exactly how we qualified twice at the expense of Aston Villa and the Palace through our league position, when under the old rule those teams would have got it as FA Cup runners up? Not quite correct. We only benefited from the change in rules in the 1st RK year. In the 2nd, when we finished 6th(!), we qualified for the EL in our own right. It was West Ham who qualified for the final EL place at the expense of Palace due to the rules change. The benefit in the 2nd RK year from the rules change was that we went straight through to the EL group phase. If Palace had won the FA Cup we would have gone into the qualifying rounds. You are good.

The s/f on the Sunday is the same day as the London Marathon, so public transport will be chaotic Maybe it’ll be cancelled due to snow?
