Odd, why not Lumley? I missed the build up, so apologies if this was explained.

It’s not on Saints Play but it is on Sport Digital. I might watch it from behind the sofa as I’m scared again. There’s no way I can cope with play-offs without cracking up. I misread the calendar so it’s not on Sport Digital or Saints Play but at least I can listen to Adam and Jo.

It’s typical that Saints are crushing it for once and I can’t fecking watch it and enjoy it.

I’ll get in before saintsfan73 - we were absolutely woeful 2nd half, and deserve nothing with a performance like that 🤣😇!!

Manning has to play at LB. Offers so much more as we play up the pitch. Its like Che - he's not perfect, but he's the only available LB.
McCarthy looked like he's about to turn 50, but had almost nothing to do. I sensed that his comparative lack of experience as a ball-playing keeper meamt he was (against this opposition at least) projecting more calm by taking little risk and playing simple passes.
First half was up with matches like Leeds for our best 45 mins. Hard to tell how much we were assisted by how awful they were. It did seem like our wide forwards were able to get a bit narrower to the centre of the pitch than normal, which always makes our attacking far better. But that was probably helped by them being quite narrow and offering very little on either flank.
Che showed what a strong centre forward should be able to do in this system.
Glad to see we have rediscovered some confidence. This was our easiest fixture remaining, so no let up.

I hope Downes is going to be wrapped in cotton wool and locked away until Saturday. Aribo was magnificent again The subs did what was required to close the game out with the minimum of fuss. There are four massive games left, which we cannot afford to lose.

Watched first half through very jet lagged eyes…
Went to bed at about 75 mins of second half and I wanted to thank the team for such boring 2nd half that it helped me sleep.
Hope Baz is ok….. he’s the better keeper but… but not inviting pressure and getting rid of the ball seemed to assist with keeping the game calm and not losing our grip.
Auto promotion not in our hands…. And I don’t think we will win the next 4… but if we did…. Pretty sure that would be enough.
With the blue ones getting promoted…. Suddenly I fancy promotion a little more!
Best get sh1t done early today as I fear I’ll be more useless than normal come the afternoon

Fascinating how we all see the game differently - I was frustrated with Aribo and compared with previous performances thought he had a poor game - he had plenty of chances for forward passes that went backwards, to turn and press ahead quickly rather than slowing the game down.
Bloody love football - different eyes, different views!!

I didn’t see it but I also fell asleep while listening to the second half.
That’s a good sign though as it showed how relaxed I was about the outcome!

Watching both Che and Stu last night I couldn't help thinking they looked like 2 players expecting to go to Germany in June but less sure of their chances of starting. Keep doing that lads and you both be shoe-ins...

Aribo is a totally different player from what I thought we had signed, or at least he's been turned into a different one.
I too felt that in advanced areas he didnt provide much offensively. But in the other 3/4 of the pitch, he did his usual combination of work rate, link up and holding up. I thought we bought him as someone to penetrate teams?
