NewsNow and Skys Transfer Centre are handy in the summer break. I have never used Twitter, it's never appealed to me.

the only use for twitter is that they release the team news on twitter before any other site

His only minutes on the pitch came against Leicester, which is coincidentally the club who seem most likely to sign him now. I presume they’re not referring back to their scout notes from that game.

They knew he was crap so they strongarmed Saints into taking him on loan. He was awful.

www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/16356753.danny-ings-is-not-on-southamptons-radar/SAINTS' summer spending spree will not extend to the purchase of Liverpool striker and local lad Danny Ings, the Daily Echo understands. Usually the flow of players runs firmly north from St Mary's to Anfield, but reports have spread recently that Saints were preparing a bid to bring Ings back down south. Those reports, however, are understood to be wide of the mark, at least at this stage, with Saints keeping their cards close to their chest regarding their next move in the transfer window.

Sorry guys, I seem to be generally bored at the moment so spending far too much time trying to second-guess the club's plans for this year and thus the transfer market.
'Keeping cards close to chest' normally means either there's something big in the pipeline and they don't want to alert other clubs, or it means they're not sure what to do; maybe they're waiting on Hughes' assessment of Gallagher before deciding whether to move for a target or not.

From the past 2 seasons I think I know which of those is the more likely.

I read 'keeping cards close to chest' as meaning there are no rumours coming out from the club. In these days where leaks are commonplace I think that means there are no rumours, unless they are managing to keep something really special underwraps.
So something special is happening, I wonder who it will be, when are they coming, what will the reveal be like, ohh i cant wait. I think it will be Mandzukic.
