KO at 4.30pm on Sunday.
This game is live on Sky Sports and also 'Free to View' on their Pick channel.
What on earth will we see? With Watford and Pearson as manager you can guarantee a full blooded physical game. I guess we will see Walker-Peters at right back, but please god, don't put Vestergaard alongside Bednarek! I keep asking why we have not seen Danso at least tried in the position for which we signed him. Will Sunday finally see the bloke get a chance?
Other than that Saints are away from St.Mary's. On the road their record this season is Played 15 - Won 7, Drawn 2, Lost 6. At St.Mary's they are Played 16 - Won 4, Drawn 2, Lost 10. That home form looks worse in the cold light of day.

Another away win would make it a 50% hit rate... Surely Ings can't have another ineffective game. Time for Adams to start?

I see that Hasenhüttl is saying Højbjerg may well be out of the game with an ankle injury, so I would expect to see Smallbone, or Romeu in. The replacement for Stephens still bothers me more. Danso, or Vestergaard? The unknown, or the liability?

All I have to say is "3 points please" then we can all relax

I was just reading a point of view that for a robust, physical side like Watford, under Nigel Pearson, playing Vestergaard in the centre of the defence might not be the worst decision in the world. We will find out how true that is later today.
And I see that Saints will be wearing their white 3rd kit. Not one that we see much, but I like it.

I was sh*tting myself at the prospect of Valery marking Delofeu.
I am buoyed by hearing the Spaniard is injured and Lawro is going for a Home win. However, neither are reasons NOT to play KWP at right back.
We have scored in all bar 2 away games this season. Only Man City have a better record. COYS!
Will we finally see the mysterious 3rd kit today?

Sorry to say I am not at all confident today and expct a defeat. I dont think it matters as relegation is very unlikely for us anyway.

For me the rest of this season is about accessing the squad,
My team for today would be
Forster, is he eligible to play? If so we should play him, he is costing us a fortune, potentially he is the best keeper that we have, if he isn’t up to it or doesn’t fancy it, then get him off the books, these loan players need to be gone, if not play Gunn
Walker peters, I hear valery has personal problems so maybe shouldn’t be considered, so play walker peters,
Bednerek- our best Centre back
Danso, bought as a centre back, let’s use him there, at least we will know what he is like there, ideal opportunity whilst Stephens is suspended,
Bertrand, tempted to play a youngster but i’ll stick with Bertrand To have some experience in the back line
JWP- seems fit enough to play every game, Romeu- his attitude is right needs a chance to prove he is worth keeping,
Smallbone I think He could be a bit special, let’s give him the chance to show it
Boufel, I believe he is fit now, give him a few games, he has a year left on his contract, we either keep him or get rid
Armstrong who looked good at Norwich, we look better when he plays
Adams- he needs a run of games to see if he is worth keeping
————- Danny Ings Id rest him for this one, but a good sub option to have come on
Over to you Ralph

I’ve just heard that Forster is not eligible to play, so bring in Gunn for a few games

Watford without Dela......That is ball up to Deeney all day then. Have to play Vestagaard. Watford been awful so far back so this is till there. Repeat Naarch, not Arsenal.
Mc - He's been decent, give him a break FFS...
KWP Vesta Bed Bertie
Rom/PEH depending on fitness JWP Armstrong
Ings Long Redmond
Experience today please

He was great against Norwich but not against Arsenal. Perhaps Boufal off the bench if Redders is having an off day.

We are missing one central defender, and look at the alternatives! Vestagardde, slow with the turning circle that would shame a bus! Danso, an inexperienced, last minute panic buy that has shown no sign of being good enough, albeit he has not played in his preferred position yet. On top of that we have a goalkeeper who is in miserable form and a defensive midfielder claiming to be injured. Deeney and Pearson must be rubbing their hands together. I'm starting to remember that 9-0 defeat brrrr! However, there's the chance for Smallbone
