Well there's logic in that, teams are always set up to counteract the popular tactic at the time and any player under 35 will never have played against tactics from pre-2000. Hitting it long is the obvious way to avoid being caught out by a pressing team. Modern CBs are not used to facing target men so much, maybe we need to bring back Carrillo as well?
