First time out of Ryde for months and it is pissing down. Nice!
Watched 1st episodes of Agatha Raisin and Perry Mason. Both interesting enough to carry on with.
Was thinking about watching football tonight. Then saw it was bloody Man U again. Looks like a movie then.

G'day
Waitrose delivery today. The first since all this kerfuffle started. Back to S'burys next week I suspect. Man came to measure up the new hearth for the fire that's being fitted next week.
All very spiffing.
Have a good day y'all

Afternoon
Went for a shortish 4 mile walk with some of our walking group friends this morning and had a picnic lunch sat apart from each other. Although we regularly talk on Zoom it was so nice to see everyone in the flesh again and laugh at each others hair! As usual, although the walk was billed as four miles we somehow managed to walk six.
As for TV, I have been working through five seasons of the US comedy series 'Chuck' on Amazon Prime, which was first broadcast in 2007. The 'plot' is basically about some undercover spies based in an electronic store in LA. That alone should tell you the level it is aimed at. It is odd to see what was seen as OK then makes me cringe slightly now, being both sexist and slightly ging-ho, in the way that only Americans can be. It was always intended to be tongue-in-cheek and I suppose that allowed them to get away with things that they wouldn't now. Still, it is surprisingly uplifting and escapist and I feel better for watching it, rather than the news. One of the stars of chuck is Yvonne Strahovski, an Australian who followed this up with a major role in The Handmaids Tale, which was really going from the sublime to the ridiculous.
Don't think I will be bothering with watching any more football, until Saints next match.

Afternoon
Rainy here, but I'm working.. in fact I'm AT work. Thankfully there's no one else on this floor at present so that's fairly distanced. However, I am wearing trousers and shoes (other than sandals) for the first time this personal year (ie since my birthday in March); can't say I'm enjoying the experience.
No footer exists other than us as far as I'm concerned; for TV we've been on the Witcher (starring the expressionless but quite well built local lad) and The Good Place, both of which we've enjoyed as a distraction from the outside world.
Can I go home yet>?
