Don't like this - He only made his debut this season - less than 30 games for a yo-yo club (the Spanish equivalent of Norwich which means they are worse than Ipswich) and at 21 is still definitely in the 'one for the future' category. £12M of your English Pounds please.
Our list of £12-20M transfer failures is quite horrific. Are there any that will come good?

Not sure on prices but it's just not true that our transfers don't work, we've had nearly a decade back in the PL and most if them successful. No way that happens without successful transfers. I'd say all of these were a success (adding to your Mane and VVD). Also, can't count Toby as we massively fumbled that great signing Hojberg Davis Redmond Armstrong Tadic Pelle Lovren Wanyama Bednarek Bertrand Long Clyne Yoshida McCarthy We have also had a lot if epic failures, but I'd say the success list is slightly higher, slightly. |

Also, can't count Toby as we massively fumbled that great signing Hojberg Davis Redmond Armstrong Tadic Pelle Lovren Wanyama Bednarek Bertrand Long Clyne Yoshida McCarthy We have also had a lot if epic failures, but I'd say the success list is slightly higher, slightly. I think it's fair to say the were two distinct periods. The first under Poch and Ronald were transfers where bought in to improve the team (Tadic, pelle, Wanyama, etc) and then under Les and Ralph's way of working where the aim was to make money from 'player trading'. The only two of these transfers which worked were Mane and VVD. Hopefully things will improve with Les gone and new Ralph in charge. Will we ever find out though? Ralph will soon be in his 3rd different season here and he has only been able to bring in one permanent transfer of his own! I think it's fair to say that post Koeman our transfer record has been appalling and we have wasted tens of millions. |

It was thought that they were run down in the night by a tanker, freighter, or some other large ship. No collisions were reported, but they just disappeared. |

Probably not, although I tend not to joke about that sort of thing, as when I lived in Brockenhurst a girl I knew at the time was lost in the channel with her boyfriend as they were delivering a small sailing boat overnight from Lymington to France. It was thought that they were run down in the night by a tanker, freighter, or some other large ship. No collisions were reported, but they just disappeared. that happens a lot more than people think, large ships with limited lookouts do not even feel a collision with a small vessel. Ferries are known culprits. |

Have to point out that the cock-up list came way after these boys, apart from Bednarek and Armstrong (who are fine). Most are still with us for a time yet. |
