Oh great, Redmond is injured and it is not clear if Armstrong can play any part in the game according to RalphThe good news is that Ralph said of the Ings to Spurs stories “The only thing I want to say for these rumours is that there’s absolutely zero interest from Danny to go anywhere. He is 100% happy to be here and for us it is 100% not discussable that we lose one of the best players in Europe and one of best strikers in Europe.”So, will we see a bit of passion and energy from the team this weekend? Will it be third time lucky?

Absolute pants. How could we have fallen so far, so fast You could see glimpses of nearly being good.. just so shaky at the back.. Alex Mc just not good enough.. playing to high and too weak in front of the CBs... it’s not an impossible fix..We do need a strong CM and for big Fraz to be on his Celtic form. JWP looks off the pace.. he was key to us at the end of last season.

Issues with my Sky Q box. That goal Spurs scored before half time, where Kane played the ball over the top to Son who scored, well it was shown 3 more times in the second half too.

In the first 13 games we amassed 2 points last season. I believed we were relegated. The common belief among us was that we'd lose this game. I guess it must be in our DNA to to assume the worst.

Enjoyed the 2 Ings' goals.
It was the bit in between I found rather shit.

Once again I think the manager has to shoulder much of the blame. It didn't take a genius to work out how Spurs would play given our ultra high line with ultra average defenders against a lightning fast attack. It was so easy for them. Stephens, for me is about as much use as an ash tray on a motorcycle. I don't know if Armstrong was hurt or just knackered, but if it was neither why pull him with 20mins to go?. I am, sadly, starting to doubt Ralph's ability.

McCarthy is one of the worst starting keepers in the PL (take note Sir B3na1i ) and proved very bad at this yesterday as he stayed rooted to his line but it's madness if you think the 6'7" Wardrobe that is our reserve keeper would be able to do this any better. Fair point re: JWP, he is back to being the passenger he was for his first 7 seasons in the PL with the added bonus of that now his free kicks and corners are a pile of w ank. He needs to be replaced asap with.... oh bugger, that's it, we don't have any other midfielders do we.

I think you mean two wins from the first 13 and not two points. After 13 games we had 7 points (13 points after 15 games).

That was really bad for a number of reasons. Firstly because Spurs were actually there for the taking, Jenas on commentary was pointing out the lack of options they had on the ball and how they were finding it difficult to get any rhythm. So they had to play long balls over the top, and in normal circumstances you'd be happy with that, we should be able to deal with that and not keep conceding the exact same goal over and over... And it's the similarity that is so annoying, when they've worked out a weakness you plug it, you don't just keep letting it happen and that's on Ralph.
It was a good time to play Spurs, off the back of a poor defeat for them and before Bale and Reguilon joined, but we gave them a free pass to exploit us.
JWP, it's been covered, he's lost form. Romeu though, that's even worse, he looks so off the pace and was a red card waiting to happen, I don't mind him as cover and to play 20 minutes when we need to close out a game but he can't be a starter for us.
There were signs of a decent team at times as well, had we held out to half time 1-0 up then it might have been different. And remember that these are the same players that ended last season so well, it's far more that this is just natural variation in performance of a mid-table team, rather than them all being shit, let's not panic. But Ralph needs one of his regrouping chats with the squad this week because although the scoreline wasn't as bad as 9-0, the feeling in the second half that the opposition was just going to score at any time was the same.

Either they hadn't trained him to play with the high line or he wasn't carrying out instructions. Either way awful. That said your point about JWP being a passenger for 7 seasons is hilarious and shows you only watch on TV. He's been poor at the start of this season, they all have, but he has not been a passenger for 7 seasons and you can roll out all the stats you like, those who sit in the stands really appreciate what JWP brings to the table, usually
