As the old Aussie soap used to say....
Is our marked difference between home and away results directly linked to the way we play?
Home: We tried to be a pound-shop Liverpool - play the high intensity press but don't quite have the players to do this. Look good and control the possession for most of the game but will always concede at least two when strikers get goal side of our slow CBs.
Away: Play more defensively, sit back more - don't always control possession and try to score by catching teams on the break using the pace of Ings/Redmond/Obafemi/Djenepo/Long.
The away way of playing seems to work much better.

I think that is pretty much right, but also explains how they did well during Project Restart. After losing at home to Arsenal, the next home match was Manchester City, which they won by playing as though it was an away game. Then came Brighton, which was a bit of a shambles, with Højbjerg at right back(!), but they still scraped a draw. Finally there was Sheffield United, which was won, thanks in part to the Blades wilting in the second half, up until then they had looked very flakey at the back. So, although first instinct it to wonder why we are suddenly poor at home, maybe we are just as bad/good as we were.
The only other thing is that Saints seem to be playing with a higher line than before, which was always going to be high risk.
