Hi all, I am new to the forum and I appreciate to be part of the community. I am currently investigating the sustainability activities of sport teams and clubs around the world I also came across "The Halo Effect" - the sustainability strategy of the Saints. As I already started to talk to fans of other clubs I became aware of the point that most fans whether do not know about the activities or do not care to much about it. Do you know about "The Halo Effect" and its impact? And what do you think about it? And if you have the time I would also ask you to participate in a survey regarding your attachment to the Saints and how you feel about the sustainability activities ("The Halo Effect) of the club which you can find here. Best regards, Len

Best regards, Len I'd heard of it but haven't much idea about what it entails. Saints in the Community has been going years and has a good reputation. The club really do try to help the community but I've not been to Southampton for years (waiting for elective surgery) and don't appreciate the impact the club has personally. As a Green from the the Extinction Rebellion end of the spectrum ANYTHING Saints are doing re sustainability must be good but, of course, I'd want more.

I guess you are not alone. I have the feeling that, in general, many fans do not really know about what their club really do or do not get directly in touch with it (at least if it is about the topic of sustainability by e.g. installing solar panels at the stadium). But good to hear that the club has a strong focus on the community. And I agree with you - everything a club does is good but we all could do more!

Sorry, but one last reminder for my university research project. I would be happy if you could share some time to fill out the questionnaire. Otherwise just ignore me and my post (and sorry for the inconvenience). Wish you and England the best for the final.
