I refuse to call them the 2020 Euros, as that just makes it seem like we are in a timewarp. Anyway, the IBO coverage of the Euros is continuing and the website is now getting daily updates, but with six contributors, most of whom are also holding down full time employment, there are going to be occasional delays with coverage. My entertainment has been to get the group league tables up and working, but there seemed little point in doing that until each group had played a couple of games, hence at the moment three groups have league tables (A-C) and three don't (D-F).

Wales v Denmark . I find football very confusing today. When I grew up we played in the street I LOVED football. Went on to represent Hampshire under 15's final at Swaything and won. Manny presented the trophy. 76' was phenomenal. Lucky to live next door to Jim Clunie & walk to school with his son Gordon. If a team doesn't have skill + effort they lose ! It's a very simple analogy, I agree, however money has now changed the dynamic. TV/Media etc I'm not sure I like where the game is going ? Maybe you do ? Let me know.

Some good thoughts but you will maybe never find a satisfactory answer for that questions.
On the one side, the game itself changed over the years (positive: becoming faster; tactical improvements; players are much more athletic; negative: "real fights" do not happen anymore; sometimes to much tactic).
On the other hand, the financial developments and what teams spend for players change football. And that is what I do not like (and which overall decreases my interest in football). It is not anymore the game of everyone which you played in the street. It is a billion dollar business and no one (I am overreacting here a bit) cares anymore about the fans and the normal kickers from the Sunday League. I think you just feel lost to developments you can not change but you have to accept (as money rules the world and most associations are partly "corrupt").

Right, not that I am anywhere near caught up yet, but the all-important England v Scotland Germany match report from spot51 is up on the IBO Euro website nowThe link takes you to the eight last 16 matches. For the England v Scotland Germany match, click on the 29th June tab on the right (or scroll down and click on the tab, if viewing on a smart phone), the England v Germany tab should then be in view, highlighted in red.

England v Scotland??? Reading my report I spotted a few typos. Did I really write Hunnels instead of Hummels? Also Maguire was BOOKED not booed for fouling a German. There may be more.

Ha, got caught out by my own text replacement program and didn't notice it. For something else that I was doing I replaced all instances of Germany with Scotland and then forgot to turn it off. As for the errors, I just haven't had time to proof read it, but will go over it again later tonight, or tomorrow morning.

Right spot51 re-read everything and re-posted the England v Germany game. You were right, there were several typos there, which hopefully I have corrected, without introducing any more...
