Urgh, back-at-work monday is no good
Suffering a bit after not enough sleep.. don't feel too well, but at least my C-test came back negative, so I've managed to spend a week in plagueland without you lot infecting me.
Still, at least I managed to get over to see folk before the door slammed shut (UK is red-listed from tomorrow) and actually managed to enjoy watching some Euro games with mates. Journey wasn't too bad either, Gatwick pretty empty.. looks like a good time to fly!
Yesterday's games shook things up a bit (ok Belgium were favorites, but potentially lost KDB in scraping past Ronaldo (according to ITV he was the only player on the other side)), can the Croats and Swiss cause any further fun tonight?

I have had a productive day so far, but there is so much more to do. I started with a Zoom chat with friends about the Euros and as soon as that finished I changed the battery in my MacBook Air. That's done and now I am going through the process of calibrating, which takes a damn site longer than the actual change did. First I had to fully charge the new battery, leave it on charge for a further two hours, then disconnect it and turn off all the battery saving settings. Now I am in the process of running the thing flat. Then it has to be left for five hours, to ensure that it's completely flat, then charge it fully again. So that might be complete by midnight!
So far I have enjoyed the Euros, although not necessarily the petulance if players from Wales and Portugal. The interesting thing is the complete lack of controversy about VAR. It simply isn't an issue. It works well and we are not kept waiting for ages for decisions. If the hopeless UEFA can do it, then why the feck can't the Premier League?!!
Right, next task on the agenda is to do some ironing. Deep joy.

Probably preparing the ground for the next PL season UEFA and most of Europe use a different camera system for VAR. The PL went for the low resolution cheapo system
