Two more monster games last evening and this time YT has to write about them. Whilst real scummers were non-existent in the England camp we can claim a bit of Luke Shaw who had a hand in both the goals and deserves to be in Gareth's first XI despite what Jose etc think.
Plenty to write about from both Wembley and Hampden. I still wince when I remember the horror "tackle" on Besedin in extra time - knees aren't supposed to do that. Poor bugger! indeed, viewers joining the final match after 10pm may well have thought they'd mistakenly tuned into Casualty as there were more medics on the pitch than players...

Busy, but at least managed to get away from work yesterday to see the "historic" victory. The final game didn't quite live up to the previous few in the round (aside from the last few minutes), but at least we know who's in the running now. Ironically, having bested the other old enemy, it now looks like a more favourable run... having said that, watch us go out to a poor Ukraine (at least that'll save me having divided loyalties in the theoretical game v Denmark).
I see the sunshine, but I won't be done til 8, so it's a bit insulting really.
