Morning
Well that was a turn up for the books. A full on excellent performance from England. And not a single goal conceded in the entire competition so far. Let's see how we get on against a decent side on Wednesday then. Vestergaard, Højbjerg and the rest will be up for that.
Visited NT property, The Vyne down near Basingstoke yesterday, to meet up with with friends. The weather was kind to us, although we all went equipped for rain, but had sunshine instead. got back home just in time to see the majority of the first game and watch Vestergaard looking surprisingly comfortable in the heart of the Danish defence.
Today is wind down day and doing several things that I have been putting off.

I wonder if the media, and the people they interview, realise England have only won a quarter final, not the whole thing? Good performance, but the coverage and early hours celebrating in the street (this is the New Forest for flip sake) is a little premature. At least the players were more level headed in their interviews.
Anyway, after a 6 mile walk in the forest followed by cutting the grass yesterday, I'm feeling knackered this morning. Unfortunately B started work early this morning, so I've already been into town, but with Rice Up not opening until 11, I've had to come home, so I'll be back there in a little while, which sucks.

Morning Scummers Lovely to see Big Jan and Denmark reach the semi-final. Who thought, a couple of Thursdays back, when Kevin De Bruyne scored the winner in Copenhagen that it would be Denmark and not Belgium in the last four. Opened a catering size bottle of Kingfisher and a bag of Muchos for the England game but was disappointed that Ukraine could not put up much resistance. Clearly they were shattered by 120m against Sweden on Tuesday and conceding so early was a body blow for them. England on the other hand were excellent. You can only beat what is in front of you and a major factor in Ukraine not being much good was that England were. Can't think of a single player who didn't do well and even the Italians were impressed. Luke Shaw was excellent again and I was really hoping his former boss (the Special One) who moved to Rome last week was there to watch that performance. For the purpose of these Euros both Shaw and Hojbjerg are counted as Honary Scummers BTW. Had a trip out yesterday. Met an ex-colleague and her nubby and sent a pleasant hour chewing the fat before having a walk at St Helens. Rosie got me up at the crack of fart-arse this morning so I sat down and completed my Italy report. Also doing the Denmark game which I'll start later but dogs must be fed and walked next. No lack of sport on TV either. No tennis or football but Athletics from Stockholm and Austria's 2nd GP are on. How the year moves on! Olympics k.o. a fortnight on Friday. Hope the time difference doesn't mean we only get to see the rubbish events. OneBeat - this country is bereft of good news so a good England team is an exception. Did you see that briefing for the US Ambassador given by his advisers? They basically said Brexit had been a disaster and that no-one was taking responsibility or trying to mitigate the effects. They predict high inflation, low productivity and a government burying its head in the sand. These are our closest allies talking... Screened by C4 news apparently. No wonder the Tories want it privatised so it can be made talk the same bollux as the Torygraph, Sun, Mail or the servile BBC.

morning beauties,
I too was surprised at just how dominant England were, nevertheless, it was a good game to watch and even I cheered them (after being less than enthusiastic the last time they played).
I think it helped that there wasn't 20,000 racist bastards present (I'm sure there were a few but they were outnumbered by people living in a different country therefore have to be slightly more reserved about their feelings on foreigners!)
The next game at Wembley is going to be a bit shit what with all the booing at kneeling all over again but I really hope it won't happen… I know, I'm probably deluding myself but you can hope!
I can't believe what an easy run to the final England have had, Southgate has got to be the luckiest bastard… I definitely don't think he is tactically the genius that everybody is painting him at the moment, but luck will take you a hell of a long way and this may just take us all the way to the final.
That's not to denigrate Denmark, I think they will give us much more of a game than the Ukraine did, but I still think England can win that.
Spain vs Italy looks to be a tight game, I was quite optimistic about Italy's chances of reaching the final however with the loss of Spinazzola I think they have lost a very important cog in their machine and I do fear for them against a (another very lucky bastard, Spanish manager) Spanish side that seems to be winning despite itself. either way, whoever wins from our side of the draw will face a team that has gone through the ringer… I really think it will give our side of the draw a big advantage.
Can you imagine the bullshit that will come out if England win it… Don't get me wrong, I think I will be quite elated myself, there's only so much childhood conditioning you can get rid of and I won't be able to resist all the feelings that will come with an England win any more than most people in this country… But all the shit will have me cringing even if I'm happy
(I will also be quite happy if Italy win, although I have to admit, not quite as happy as if England do)

What an odd feeling that was... must be how German, Brazil fans feel most of the time.... I liked it.
And I HATED Southgates selection.... shows what I know... best we've ever looked. With no prima donna swanning around messing it all up.
Still don;t think we will win... I don;t think we can beat Italy or Spain in a final... but the boys doing good.
