Afternoon all
Hot, what? & looks to be set for a nice weekend after last weekend's drab affair. Hopefully will be able to get down the beach, given there's a gap in the sporting entertainment.. although the Mrs has a car boot planned to try and shift some of the stuff that's now homeless after the clearout of the garage/utility/kitchen, so that may put paid to tomorrow morning. At least we've got dinner out this eve, though - one of the local Chinese's has a patio, so while I don't fancy sitting inside to eat with the rampantly rising cases, that should be pleasant end to the hot day.
In other news, building work continues (what's the opposite of apace?).. but the kitchen's pretty much done (just decoration now); I've even managed to get the icemaker working, which is handy in this heat.

Afternoon.
Had a great day at Old Wardour Castle, near Tisbury yesterday. The English Heritage site manager was running the place on his own and seemed a little stressed. Even though it is a hell of a job to get to, with a fair bit of single track and narrow country roads to negotiate, it was busy and there was a Primary School party there as well. The poor guy was struggling to keep everyone happy and was Australian, so he tended to do all his talking at volume 11! We loved it.
Been doing exciting things so far today, taking the recycling to the local centre and doing the food shopping. Finally finishing off with grass cutting to start the cycle again.
The dog is staying with us for a couple of nights, as our son and d-i-l are going down to her parents to help dig out a line of Leylandii and instal fencing.
I keep looking to see what activity is happening at Saints, but apart from the continuing emptying out of the unwanted/not quite ready yet, all seems quiet.

I hear that Nuno really wants Ings and Spurs are also interested in Vesters. However they have been blanked by Saints because Spurs talked to PEH without permission (NLY tactics?) while he was still our player. It seems we won't be selling anyone to Spurs this summer and unless Ings goes elsewhere he'll be allowed to walk when his contract runs out.
