One of the people standing up for him is the son of David Icke (makes him the son of the son of god I guess). Not long now until he starts talking about lizard people. Got to admit I've become a little obsessed with MLT over the past day, basically I hate to see what he's become and hope he sorts himself out. Something I did notice is on his twitter profile he lists what I guess is an agent for work enquiries. It's firstname.lastnameNUMBERS@outlook... man can't even get a low rent legit agency to look after him now That's only just happened Benners. Up until yesterday it was twitter.com/MCSaatchiMerlin/ I assume they've booted him today due to tweet on Ukraine. If the outlook.com bloke is looking after his requests for work I can't think he is going to be over busy...

Even though I strongly disagree with his views on this, I still hold him up as a club great and a decent human being. If he appears on Darren Grimes show I may change my mind.........

I just had a little chuckle at James Richardson’s introduction to yesterday’s Totally Football Show pod…
“Everton relegation: once so far-fetched that even Matt Le Tiss wouldn’t believe it.”

He's back and getting national coverage in the Times. www.thetimes.co.uk/article/matt-le-tissier-government-and-scientists-were-interfering-in-my-life-22r63p38lNot linked it as is paywalled and the link gives the gist of the article and ends with: I tell him it must be exhausting to be scouring the internet so convinced he is being lied to all the time. And what about losing that job at Southampton, for whom he scored 209 goals in 540 appearances? That must have pained him? “To be honest, it’s no great hardship,” he says. “It wasn’t a great financial thing for me, something that was more of a title, a way of being linked to the club. I am still welcome to go down there. “So nothing really changes except Southampton don’t get the cancel-culture people ringing in saying ‘you need to sack Matt Le Tissier, his views are harmful to the people’.”

i kinda don't get why Tiss is getting so much grief, it is one mans views, I personally think the world has gone very strange in the last 2 years, people have the right to question things, i think its more odd that people don't

I understand also that part of the questioning of what are seen as core narratives can take this form, but you are looking at entrenched positions that people will give the spin they want. But saying that, a lot of what he is reportedly and seemingly spouting is absolute ill informed (well informed from dubious sources) rubbish. Freedom of speech is great, unfortunately you need to be able to recognised and evaluate sources, social media and the web has provide the power to spread 'facts', facts and misinformation in ways that previously only Governments were able to direct and get out the message/propoganda (think BBC and the General Strike as well as the usual suspects in the Authoritarian states).

I'm absolutely amazed that MLT can see three pages referencing him on a supporters website for non-fotball views. Ignore the idiot he is entitled to his opinions and broadcasting them on here is nothing more than encouragement for more.

i kinda don't get why Tiss is getting so much grief, it is one mans views, I personally think the world has gone very strange in the last 2 years, people have the right to question things, i think its more odd that people don't I just think it's a shame. What has happened to him is what happens when you live through screens and don't live in the world. Different scale entirely and a different topic but a friend of mine is a prime example. He refuses to travel, go out for a beer, go to a cinema, a concert etc... (not pandemic related just always been that way). His theory is, why does he need to he can see concerts on YouTube, he can watch a film on Netflix, he can watch sport on the TV, he can watch a travel programme. Now, his daughter wants to go to New York with the school next year and he's saying she can't go New York is dangerous! I've been to NY many times, and of course you have ro be careful at times but it's no more dangerous than anywhere. He's basing his opinion on what he's heard, read seen through media he's not basing it on lived experiences. MLT is doing exactly the same thing, he's living through his selected sources of "media" and has no experience of the things on which he comments. He's totally entitled to his views but he's spreading them to thousands and they are ill informed views. As I said on this board a while ago, he's even been denying climate science. This is something I know a lot about and he's basing his opinions on some long debunked theories, because it suits him to.

i kinda don't get why Tiss is getting so much grief, it is one mans views, I personally think the world has gone very strange in the last 2 years, people have the right to question things, i think its more odd that people don't if he didn't have a public platform and a load of gullible people looking at him then he wouldn't be getting any attention. anybody can question things, but they just have to actually use their brain when they do so not just take (a lot of Americanised) "facts" gleaned from Internet sources and then not only presume that they've come to the right conclusion but also reference them as to how they got where they've got. it's like all the Covid crap, you have to ask yourself "why?"… some of the conspiracy theories were just nuts, not because they aren't technically possible (although most of them aren't), but because there would be no point… Not even in a science fiction film or a Netflix shitty series kind of way… people like to think "the man" is out to get them, the real truth is "the man" just wants to milk them and to keep everything as close to "normal" as they can to continue to keep the status quo (not the old men in a band) … Things have got to benefit somebody to be worth doing, or, and this also happens, shit people are in charge of things and they don't fully think through the consequences of what they are doing when they demand instant results for some temporary problem or other. Ultimately, people are going to get fucked by the coming financial shit storm… It's inevitable, when you let things get out of balance and you don't pay attention… There is always a downside to doing things cheap and easy and this coming recession (and it's going to be a big one and IT IS coming) is the direct result of people with not enough knowledge (or too much greed) being in charge of capitalist financial systems (which can actually benefit everyone… But nearly always don't)

Who was this jumper made for I wonder? Someone a lot bigger than Le Nutter or has his stressing cause him to lose a ton of weight?

At least he’s not bugging up Jacob Rees-Mogg like Peter Shilton has been on twatter. At least I don’t think he has, has he?

I’m really torn because I see his face and am overwhelmed by affection for him but then he starts talking and I remember that he’s been radicalised online and is spouting dangerous nonsense.
There’s nothing wrong with asking questions but you need to ask the right ones, like how do the Tories keep getting elected when they only represent the interests of the wealthiest top 10% in the country?
Science is based on evidence. MLT’s theories aren’t based on anything except some crap dreamt up by deranged right-wing Yanks (for the most part) on FashBook (which is a cesspit).
