Bit disconcerting when women younger than me start dropping.
When I was working I had defined downtime when commuting or at lunch. I read a lot. I tried to read at least 2 novels and 2 non fiction books a month. Whilst I read all sorts there was a distinct bias towards history, fact and fiction. One of the nest novels I ever read was Hilary Mantel's Wolf Hall. It also made excellent TV. I bought both sequels but, this is true, in retirement I can find bugger all time to read. So I have those and several dozen more downloaded onto my Kindle awaiting opportunity.
One of thde best things about writers is that, after death, their work lives on.
Rest in Peace Dame Hilary. Thank you.

Never read one of her books but my dad has read them all. Always sad when a writer dies I think as so many characters and stories die too. At least they leave a lasting legacy
