I tell you what, I have come to appreciate the Guardians long form writing. Only The Times comes close.

Che starts but Stu only makes the bench. They have gone 5-4-1 with the Twat from Newcastle at wing back. No McKenna and no Tierney. I'd take that point now!

Che Adams is a brilliant defensive forward so it’s lucky Scotland didn’t need to score. I fancied sausage and mash last night and by the time I'd eaten it it was getting on for 2100. Watched the 2nd Michael Palin in Iraq which is excellent. Loved his original travel series but cannot watch the re-runs as it is too upsetting seeing everything we've lost. By the time I'd watched a bit of the News (good work IMF - you tell the dozy cocksuckers) the dogs were ready for bed. Before sleep I always do some puzzles on the Kindle and when I fired it up I remembered I hadn't seen the football scores. Front page of BBC said "Scotland Highlights on Sportscene" so I put the telly on in time to see Che's only decent shot in the 2nd minute. Saw as much as I needed to. Awful game but a fantastic result -promotion gets them 2 goes at qualifying for the 2024 Euros.
