Lol. Apart from it’s not. What I am saying it that there is nothing visible to say that he is better. And also he hasn’t started promisingly, he’s actually started even worse. He wasn’t Premier Standard and he isn’t top end of Championship standard. Keep him in and we do not go up. Period. Statistically he's started worse, but this just shows how shite statistics can be in football. Because of all the goals we've conceded I really don't think it would matter what goalkeeper we had in goal they'd have gone in. The problems were in front of him and further up the pitch. Perhaps an absolute elite level keeper saves one or two of them but I can't think of a keeper outside of the top couple that would have saved any of them. |

All keepers seem to make saves that fans think are incredible and save 'a certain goal'. Bazunu never does though. I guess at least he doesn't make the howlers like McCarthy.
We conceded 4 goals from the first 4 shots on target this season. That must be a record? Even Adam Armstrong managed to get in the way of one goal bound shot in the 1st game.

He’s the reason we are in this league. It’s a FACT. Really..? 3 managers in a season, including 2 who were totally inappropriate and completely out of their depth. Massive changes to a squad that had been allowed to stagnate through years of underinvestment. Young, inexperienced defence, with no experience or leadership… No midfield enforcer to protect the back line. Romeo allowed to leave and yet no attempt made to replace him. No striker signed just summer, when we knew the productivity of Adams and AA was piss poor. Panic buy of a striker at the close of the January window, who was such a poor fit he never even played. Scattergun transfer policy, where the only experienced players bought were Luton Town’s RB and a WC semi finalist who couldn’t get a game. And yet “[Bazunu is] the reason we are in this league. It’s a FACT” Sorry fella - I respect your views and you are my tribe - 100% Saints - I know you’re saying all this because you care. But, FFS! |

As per usual I am 100% in agreement with threehundred on this one - no way can anyone blame our mediocrity of last season and our place in the Championship solely on Baz, the list of SR mistakes is a long - but, it’s all history, and no amount of finger pointing will change anything. We’ve made a good start to this season, the vast majority seem to be enjoying it and the future looks bright - let’s get behind every player and enjoy the ride!! Being positive is not a negative 😇!! |

Third goal, any decent keeper saves. Rubbish footwork and soft hands on anything to his left. Embarrassing.
His XG at this level is so far worse than in the Prem, where he was the worst shot stopper in Premier League history.
But no, apparently should still give him a chance.

Downes even took some of the pace off and deflected the long range shot in his direction and he still couldn’t get anything on it.
It’s like he’s a ghost or something.
He’s got to be the worst keeper we’ve ever had and we’re stuck with him now for some insane reason.
The decision to back him despite all available evidence to the contrary is probably going to end up costing the club tens of millions.
At least we can look forward to another season in the Championship with this fecking joker conceding way more than he saves. If I was that bad at my job I’d be out on my ear.

It was a dismal performance by the whole team. Sunderland were just better all round. Faster, sharper, more clinical. Picking on individual players is just pointless and missing the point completely
