something about old punks becoming fathers, haven't seen it yet but it is waiting for me to watch it, should be interesting and I suspect it might strike a few chords with us on here? I hope it's going to be interesting

I've not seen it either, but there are certainly some people featured that I wouldn't say are punks, not proper ones anyway.
My mate always said that punks should be parents because we'd bring our kids up to have decent values. Certainly I'm proud of the way my daughter has turned out, except for her terrible music choices!

I think the "punk" in this seems to mean "antiestablishment" or possibly just slightly "rebellious"?
certainly, people like Flea don't play punk but they are pretty punk I think (although I do defer to our resident expert)
If you want it anyway tone let me know, or you can come to mine and watch it?

I was thinking more of the ones who look "punk", but other than that are pretty mainstream. I would like to see it at some point though.

There's a good film called I Want That Record (or something like that), about independent record shops in the US. Ian Mackaye says some very interesting things (as always). And he's now a punk rock dad!

If punks (or any other grouping) are rebels, then isn't a punk who likes to be different to other punks even more of a punk? And the stereotypical punks are the mainstream ones?
Just asking like.

I think he used to be in a punk band and has been involved with various punk bands over the years.

No she's grown out of all that stuff. It's all that god awful nonsense that X-Crapter produces. I have failed as a parent.
