Unless I got a ghost Any ideas SYSTEM.. windows 7 ultimate Dodgy power button? Power button stuck? no, seems to be working fine. It is weird sometimes it switches back on instantly other times after 20 mins or so.

I remember a Windows XP machine that did that to me. It turned out to be something corrupt in the OS. I pretty sure that I did a system restore to a point before it started happening. It meant I lost a whole bag of stuff, but it was a price I was prepared to pay. Looking back I am not sure why I didn't just save things, but there must have been a reason. Needless to say I now back everything up.

I'll have to get someone to test my motherboard / power pack for a short.. only thing that it could be.. tested just before coming on here and it had switched itself on after 34 mins. Strange Now trying an isolator on main power into it.. just in case its the houses wiring that is kicking it in.

Also if you've downloaded a new program or something recently it might keep re-booting itself. If you have, I'd un-install and re-install again.

Its still killing me, mostly losing all email contacts and old emails. You learn from your mistakes!

Well...its not as if we have anything better to do eh! dropbox is the way forward! And free, I store nothing on my mac anymore. All working files in dropbox, all photos, images, videos etc on a external hard drive. I can drop what I want now..
