Have to say I'm a bit miffed that Wigan appear unwilling to give up the seat at the Prem table they are keeping warm for us. Still, if necessary I'm sure we'll be happy to take Blackburn's place.
It is truly vile outside now. Fortunately I got the rubbish out before this storm arrived and I'm now in the warm with coffee, computer and Loreena McKennitt.
Got the front grass cut yesterday - the back will have to wait till the next dry spell, whenever that is.
Need a win tonight. Not fussed how we get it so long as we get it.
COYR!

I'm a bit (a lot!) nervous about tonight's game, I have to keep reminding myself that we actually played pretty well for the most part on Friday. I have some running about to do for the budding netball star in the house, but we should be home just in time for kick off.
It's wet and dark and I need tea.

Hello. I'm wondering whether I should make sure I am awake to listen to the game or if I should just pick up the result in the morning. I think I shall play this evening as it comes.

Grrr!!!
Wanted to ride in this morning but I'm a fair weather cyclist, I don't mind a light shower/drizzle but I'm not a nutter!
Also I take over the chair of a committee today and the previous chair was a c*n* and useless so the minutes of the previous meeting only got circulated at 0730 this morning and the meeting starts at 9!
Plus I found out yesterday I have to be in Liverpool Friday for 10am and I have meetings in Southampton all day Thursday so that means I'm getting up at 0445 on Friday morning and driving!!!
J-Dog I'm feeling your pain today sir!

Morning
I don't really know what to think about this evenings game. I keep veering between supreme optimism & utter despair. I am waiting to settle on an average between the two. The thing is that Saints absolutely battered Reading for almost the whole game and not many sides could cope with that.
Anyway off for a guided tour of a country house this am, so I had better get a fracking move on.
No time for tea.

We will win tonight.
That's after I've been down the beach and whilst I'm out on the mountain bike.

Cor, what a drizzly day in Susex(E). That's made my mind up for me as to whether, or not, my departing cold/manflu would allow me to play golf today. I'm staying in the warm and dry FFS Are you Fracking in the West Country Mr C? I see they're allowing it in the North West again. What a surprise (not!). www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-17726538Mind you, having been to Blackpool very recently I can't see that a few minor earth tremors could do much more damage to the poor old place. I watched the 70s doc (Pt 1) on BBC2 last night - it ought to be compulsory viewing for those revisionist ignoramuses on TUI and elsewhere who keep spouting rubbish and rewriting history. But, I suppose, that would be a bit pointless as you can't really reason with bigots - they only believe stuff that confirms their prejudices. Fingers crossed for tonight. Doobie Bros Have a good day y'all

Morning all. It's horrible out there. Struggled to get up, eejits on the road - why does the rain make them worse? Stupid drain men blocking out half the road as well. We're supposed to be in drought, why can't the drains handle the water?

J-Dog I'm feeling your pain today sir! Well the shitstorm has to land somewhere... I wouldn't drive up unless necessary, have you looked at flights? TBH the shitstorm has barely left here, although I now have my staff back so it should quiten down a bit. Bloody awful weather here + schools back + something on the Purley way meant I was late in today; which never assuages the mood. Hopefully Saints will improve things tonight though... although I'm sanguine about our chances. I was downright pessimistic on Fri, but more positive today - on song we'd wipe the floor with them, but we're not firing on all cylinders. Hopefully Morgan will be good to play and Nige will put some real options on the bench this time around; be it Punch or even Sinclair. Saw a smidge of that 70s thing and it looked interesting, so have +d it. Read a lovely line on the crapper this morning: "Your prattle is as interminable as a three-onion fart" (c N Asher)...made me chuckle, I hope to get to use it.
