A very Good Morning to you. Hooray! Saints have signed, what seems on the face of it, a high quality CB. That is a nice birthday present for me. The sun is shining and I am being told to stop pishing about on the laptop and get dressed as we are going out for breakfast. I don't know what the middle part of the day holds for us, but we are going to the Devizes Fringe Festival this evening to hopefully see Nick Harper. I like today lots.

Happy Birthday Mr C! (where the heck of all our other smilies gone? ) I did read that as you were going to a Fridge Festival!
I wish it was sunny here; I have so much stuff for the bonfire and so few windows of opportunity to do it!
So, Sussex(E) is grey and damp although not raining at this exact moment it has been and looks like this is only a brief respite.
I actually slept through until 0745 this morning - rather than the anywhere between 3 and 5 a.m. of the previous 3 weeks.
I see BBC3 is showing football at 8pm for the week ahead (FIFA Confederations Cup 2013) - could be some matches worth watching.
Tea required
Have a good day y'all

Happy Birthday Mr Channers, hope it's a ghost one. I'm glad you're happy with your present from Saints.
I'm sat at the train station waiting for my wife who's dropping our daughter at dancing before joining me for a flying visit to Brighton. I'm picking up the special mini-issue if our zine and selling a few records to some fine fellows.
Tea was had ages ago, at least in Brighton I'll be able to get a cup of tea without having to resort to a big chain coffee shop.

Happy Birthday good sir have a great day.
Nice to see we are now a club prepared to buy "potential" rather than sell it. I see on TUI it has been quickly brushed under the carpet, so sad!!!

Good morning honourary Croats, and happy birthday MrC!
Looks nice out so spose I'd better get out in it, innit. Unfortunately that means a trip to the vets to pick up some drugs and Tesco, as it's nextdoor to the vet. Then over to maidstone for a kids birthday party, notwoo.
Great news about getting Dejan in, hopefully he's all that he appears to be in the PR spiel. What's even better is that he's in before preseason, which means hopefully that we're learning from the slow start last summer.. it's one thing to get a forward in on deadline day, but at the back, the more time they (whoever they may be next season) have together, the better.
Tea n toast, QI.

Paddy - stop looking there so early in the day and upsetting yourself man. Morning folks and Many Happy Returns Channers. Got my shopping done yesterday so the weekend is, theoretically, completely free. Need to do a bit of gardening today once the wind has dried it up as tomorrow looks like being wet and horrid. Will watch football today - U21 semis and Brazil v Japan. Confederations Cup is scattered across lots of different BBC channels but every match will be covered somewhere - although I'm not sure Tahiti v Spain will be much of a contest.... Have a good weekend. Gabrielle and bacon rolls.

Many happy returns Channers.
So Bruce Day has finally arrived; how exciting for everyone concerned. Going for a quick haircut so I can look my best for the Boss, then I've got to dig around the garage to get the suitcases out. Then pack, all by 3pm. It's going to be a tough call, but I think I can make it. Oh, and remind me to book a taxi for the airport tomorrow morning. Unless Tone can give us a lift, of course.
The more I think about it, a nice signing that. Maybe my expectations are a little high, but it still feels like a 'little present', with the big ones still to open. Yet still he is an international with 17 caps and CL experience.
I like the idea of us signing some good young players directly from South America, rather than pay massive money to an Italian or Spanish club. Porto have done this with astounding success over the years, and you can bet your bottom dollar that Nico has studied their model. With Mo in charge and Gaston in the team, we have every chance of attracting such players.
Hope you all have a wonderful day.

morning all and happy birthday Mr C not sure about the new signing, he reminds me a little bit of our last centre back signing, could be good but rather large ?'s over his time in Lyon.
Time and training will tell I guess but it does show the intent of the club to spend €10 million on this One signing.
very breezy today

Howdy. Hot. Day off today. Just had avert pleasant massage. Am now sat by the pool drinking the first of what could be many beers. Lunch will be ordered. Unable to get excited by signings as it all seems so far away. MHROTD channers.

Afternoon chaps.
Just about got our tennis on before the heavens opened. Have just been painting the window sill in our living room as the double glazers had left it looking a bit tatty. Glad that's all over with.
Happy Birthday Mr C. Hope you enjoy the Devize Fringes. Will there be a lot of 6X imbibed?
I'd missed the news of a signing, I'll be off to have a look in a moment.
