Getting demob happy here.
Just been reading the details of the place I've booked which appears to have everything for Bart and I. They even have a Smart TV so I'm concerned it may be smarter than YT.
Will miss two SFC away games but taking two shirts to wear on those days. Not sure what colours we are wearing yet but hoping to see the current successful version of Russball and not the teething problems of September. Last season we took 6 points of Leicester (effectively relegating them) so 3 points now to dump them in the playoffs is not that much to ask.
Glad to see Dortmund beat the Madrid Bad Boys last night. Looks like the sending off at Stadio Olympico did for Barca so it'll be PSG performing before the Yellow Wall in the semi. Watching City tonight. They are a bunch of crooks and cheats and will suffer enormously when thye Day of Reckoning comes but, feck me, they really are a great watch!
Hope to watch Bay04 dump Moysie out of the Europa tomorrow. Hammers fans are such entitled feckers. playing in the Stadium we paid for and bitching about a Manager who has brought them silverware and European nights. Those tw@ts neded a dose of the EFL to reset their sights.
Visiting Hazel today then a pre-hols shop for all the stuff I need to take or eat when I get home.

A dull work day has been made a little better as I've been watching a live cam set up in a Great Tit nest box.
The dog is being weird, but I guess she does live in our house, so it's hardly surprising.
Enjoyed the match last night, wanted to see a few more goals fly in, in the second half, but not to worry, the ones we did score were lovely.
Breakfast was a long time ago Socks were put on this morning Music has been The Stranglers because I realised I hadn't actually listened to them for several years. I do go back to the old bands from time to time, but never The Stranglers.

Morning
Nice and sunny but still cold here; I guess it doesn't matter much as I'm now back at work. Hopefully the rest of the day will be quite quiet so I can catch up on the large no of things I need to before it gets properly busy again.
It was enjoyable watching us coast to victory last night; I can't remember many that have felt that relaxed. It would've been nice to get a couple more goals to put a bit more pressure on Ipswich, but will definitely settle for that.
The place we rented in Gloucester last weekend was crammed with gadgets, most of which we didn't use. I did find the bathroom mirror that was also a telly quite entertaining, though (it was also quite handy for covering up noises the morning after the night before, FFS). TMI?

I’m totally with you, theallseeingeye -I’m jet lagged out of my mind…it’s a killer. We landed at 8:25 yesterday morning. I tried to stay awake until the evening and wanted to watch the game, but couldn’t. I slept through until 299 woke me at 9:15. I’m clueless today and have managed to avoid doing any work… probably a good thing, as I’m not sure I could cope with it. Dad and I spent a couple of days in Charlotte. I must say it is a fabulous city. The “southern hospitality “ thing is real.. I’ve never been made to feel so welcome. America seems to love my Dad, especially. We got an Uber out to a nice suburb on Sunday and went for a wander around a park. We were stunned to hear 5 young guys start to play bluegrass and headed over to them, as they finished “Sitting On Top of the World” - a song I love. They had one couple watching them, but soon drew a crowd. It turns out they were a band from Chicago, the Way Down Wanderers ( Mandochris - ever heard of them?) who were playing in Charlotte that night. They played a few more numbers and were fantastic. Dad and I chatted to them … he was amazed that they knew (and had opened for) one of his favourite artists - Sierra Hull. I was stunned to find that their guitarist / producer was friends with Mark Agnessi, a guy I knew of from YouTube. Of course we went to the gig in the evening, in a bar in the trendy/edgy NODA district. Utterly brilliant - more Americana than bluegrass, but just fabulous. Really nice guys, who were really happy we showed up and we’re super friendly and super talented. Some lovely people in the small crowd too and working behind the bar. We spoke to so many lovely people. Everyone has a story. We rounded off the trip speaking to a couple from Sweden who live in Norway and had spent the week at the Masters. It turns out the guy coached Viktor Hovland between the ages of 12 and 16 and caddied for him in the par 3 tournament at the Masters last year. Then, just before we got on the plane, I chatted to a guy who cycled round the world in 1971. If you Google Robert Morris cyclist, there’s an article on him in the New York Post. Unreal. Just can’t believe how good that trip was - unforgettable. Now I can catch up on the music thread and maybe do some work…or, more likely, go to sleep. Coffee Socks full of holes that I really need to Chuck out The Way Down Wanderers, of course…

Evening I didn't get home after the match last night until about 12.40am. I'm not really sure why we were that late though. I was working today, so consequently, I am absolutely knackered now. theallseeingeye and threehundred - I share your pain. I seem to suffer more from the dreaded jetlag as I get older, and going through America to NZ seems only to make it ten times worse. Going via Asia doesn't seem anywhere near as bad. I have no idea why. There seem to be a load of nervous nellies on here today. Why worry about something that hasn't happened yet, may never happen and over which we have absolutely no control? FFS people, get a grip. Think I will trawl through the streaming subscriptions I pay a lot of money to and find something mindless to watch.
