There’s nothing like getting absolutely hammered just before the play-offs - it works wonders for the overall confidence. Let’s have a round of applause for Rusty the Klown as he’s excelled himself tonight. Does anyone still think he’s a decent coach? If he is, he’s got a funny way of showing it.
I’m not sure we even played well for a total of 60 seconds tonight, never mind for a maximum of 60 minutes like we normally do before falling apart. The game was a write-off from the start but I didn’t expect it to be this embarrassing. Imagine paying to go and watch that. I’d have been hopping mad. At least I only have to go upstairs before drifting off into oblivion instead of having to head back to Southampton first.
We won’t even make it through the play-off semi-final at this rate. I’d be looking forward to playing us if I was a fan of another club in the play-offs. We look absolutely fucked on the evidence of tonight and the Cardiff game. It reminds me of when we got hammered at Highbury a week before the cup final. We just showed again we are not up to it.
When are RM and SR doing us all a favour and fecking off? They’re a match made in hell.
At least we won’t be playing Leicester again this season (or next season most likely). I can’t stand the sight of Jamie Vardy and I wish he’d just retire or die - I don’t mind which comes first. At least THB showed a bit of fight by trying to break Praet’s ankle. It’s been an utterly gutless performance apart from that.

Who’d have thought that employing a mildly overachieving mid table Champ manager wouldn’t translate into automatic promotion?!
I really don’t get the blind love that a large part of the support has for him. Other than things have been so bad for a few years that some consistent mediocrity is better than out and out depression. And he does the stupid fist pumping hurrays.
I still blame Nathan Jones!

I watched Saving Lives at Sea and QIXL while drinking half a bottle of Vouvray. Slept like a baby.

(And the other half probably do as well but don't articulate it so well!) How come we can say "fucked" but not "fecking"?

Pah
So pleased I switched off at 1:0… you could see after 5 mins everything was wrong. Kept hitting the long ball, no movement, nothing direct, nothing positive.
Saints are the most consistent thing in my life… they consistently annoy me and let me down.
That result I think kills us..
Promotion would be a worrying, as let’s face it we’d get battered… staying in championship will mean we lose the few decent players / people we have… so… strap yourself in for a few more years of upset and disappointment.

We look so weak. We can't do the play the ball out thing if the opposition press us.
Bazunu being bad for two seasons has made us forget that McColander is even worse.
Bizarrely we may need to go up to get battered just to ensure the financial future of the club. The £150m+ promotion is worth will make up for the terrible way SR have run (into the ground) the club.
If we don't go up I can easily see points deductions and admin possibilities in the next few seasons as we are running in an utterly unsustainable fashion.

All season his substitutions are just odd, he seems to change things when things don’t need changing, win the game you are in rather than worrying about saving players for the next game, against Leicester he had made 3 subs when it was one nil and we were still in with a shout
Sorry he seems a nice bloke but he really has to go, a Swansea fan told me at the start of the season that you will want him gone as his style of play just doesn’t work at championship level and he won’t change from his vision , I now agree with that

I think the points tally is probably better than I would have expected and says he's done a good job. Leicester and Leeds were miles better than us last season in percentage terms and will probably only be a bit more this year, so you could argue he's out performed them.
Earlier in the season he was being praised for his substitutions (which consistently worked well) and now he's apparently rubbish at them so both can't be correct.
Just because he can't turn water into wine it doesn't mean it's all his fault.
There is so much pessimism here it's really quite comical. Last time we went to league one we came back with a better team. There is no reason that next year's team won't be better than this one. With Mccarthy, Adams and perhaps Jan B off the payroll it frees us up a lot.
At some point we will go back up. Maybe this year, maybe next, maybe in 5. Chill the f out people. You all seem to be stressing yourselves into a bad way.

From TUI:
In RMs only full season at MK Dons in 46 games they scored 64 and conceded 62 so there seems to be a pattern
In fact if you look at the number of games he's been in charge of MK Dons, Swansea and Saints it gets even more interesting
While at MK Dons they conceded 86 goals in 65 games - average 1.32 Swansea conceded 132 goals conceded in 92 Games - average 1.43 Saints conceded 61 goals in 44 games - average 1.39
Our promotion rivals goals conceded per game this season are as follows: Leicester - 0.88 Leeds - 0.84 Ipswich - 1.2

Didn’t RM used to be a defender FFS? He can’t have been a very good one as he can’t organize a defence to save his life and needs Colin Calderwood to help him. No wonder I’d never fecking heard of him (RM not CC) until about a year ago when he was first linked with Saints. SR couldn’t find a decent manager if he walked up and fucked them one by one.

I think some managers build a team around themselves forgetting that they aren't playing anymore. Not sure if they are still sorting out what they saw going wrong with the teams they played in or just have an ego problem.

Do you think Pep is a sensitive lover? What about SAF..? I’m not sure how his Govan upbringing would have influenced his love making technique.
