Although the OS are being very coy about Chamberlain and Lallanas injuries... I'm hearing this "Lallana is back training, and should make it Saturday. AOC went for another scan yesterday still wearing the protective boot and using crutches. As a result of the scan it is thought he could be out for the rest of the season."

I expect him to be in the squad on Saturday then.

I expect him to be in the squad on Saturday then. I do hope so... but this is the world of the Saints

That would be a big blow but not necessarily a knock out one. I think most would agree that Lallana is of greater importance to us. I could see this clearing the way for Oscar Gobern to finally make a real impact. Equally though I could also see it presenting Adkins with the opportunity to use some daft system that the players aren't comfortable with, square pegs in round holes and silly experiments during the vinegar strokes of a crucial season.

There's a few ways of looking at this one: 1) It's a dirty fib to throw our competitors off the scent. 2) It's a disaster, we won't go up & we'll never see him in a Saints shirt again. (trad view) 3) It's not great but we still have options as you say. Of course, there could be a hidden benefit to it, if indeed we do manage to get up (arf) without him...if he's out of the public eye for a few months, it might increase our chances of keeping him next year?

Rather AL made it than Oxo, Oxo has been pretty ineffective recently I think

Agree with the above, although I do think you may be getting Nige and George mixed up....on second thoughts...

I wouldn't go so far as to call it alarming - a shame if true, no more.

"Alex saw the consultant on Wednesday, because he went over on his ankle against Charlton. Obviously he is still a young boy, only seventeen years old so we have to make sure that we get this one right, so we will be very protective of him. We will shut him down totally and then reassess him in a week or two."Now this doesn't read like it's the dreadful injury the press and others have been making out. Rather it is a case of being careful with a precious asset. Source : Saints OS story

"We will shut him down totally..."
NA does have a way with words. I wonder what language he speaks?
