you are not looking for a fight, for a man passing round the ganja earlier you seem rather sparky to me! Anyway, it isn't being reported very well at all, when you consider that most people actually don't read American newspapers and rely instead on televised news programmes it's fair to say that most people are unaware this is even happening outside of the States. And, due to the interconnectivity created by the world money markets and associated capitalist regimes it is something that is rather more important than it is being credited for... at least currently... Right, now, put 'em up

And what exactly do you think should be reported.....exclusive....disaffected a bit peed off...........And yes what is happening is important but this along with the tea party twonks is fluff.........and the sort of fluff that those with vested interests are happy to whip up.
"And, due to the interconnectivity created by the world money markets and associated capitalist regimes it is something that is rather more important than it is being credited for... at least currently..." I don't want to sound stroppy but what exactly does that mean?

The original mention of this was that it is not being reported on mainstream BBC news - even the World Service radio news has ignored it. If these demos spread, as did the Arab spring, it could be a highly significant moment (he wrote hopefully).
Anyway, isn't it about time we had a good IBO fight?

TBH the BBC ignores a lot of stuff that I wish we took more interest in but I don't for one minute think their lack of coverage is in anyway to do with some sort of hidden agenda. I'm suprised it hasn't been on the world service....when we are back in old barbados we have that on all the time and they do have some great programmes and some really interesting stuff that you miss in the main stream........for a very small country I would say people there are far more politically aware than here and take far more interest....but then a chance for a good old heated discussion is never missed......even a game of doms is like WWIII

Right, now, put 'em up It is being reported but it's nowhere near as dramatic as the way these things were carried out over here or on the continent - some town centre-trashing, arson, larceny and general playing up to the press cameras. So it doesn't get anything like the space in the press and on TV nor the lurid headlines. Even the Brooklyn Bridge episode, which TBF did get wide coverage, was low key as far as drama went. If they want to get the bold headlines and front pages they'd better stop being so well-behaved and reasonable. That, plus the GBP's (Great British Public) continued attraction to Italian murder case appeals, politicians' peccadillos, phone-hacking pay outs means that a few hundred Septics waving placards and chanting won't be able to muscle onto the front pages.

I just thought it was interesting that the BBC TV News hasn't reported it, it has been on the website, a bit.

The final paragraph is spot on....the fascination with what is fundamentally bollix never ceases to amaze....although not as much as the moral outrage when something of importance happens. Anyways......I'm off for my elevenses spliff ;D

Rather disappointed. What happened to the fight? I'll just have to pop over to the other place and see all the princesses suabbling about who is the best poser and poster.

Morning. Just!
The water saga drags on. We still only have cold water, so had to go to our son's over the other side of town this morning for a shower. Spent the morning clearing a lot of rubbish out of the roof, so that the plumber has more room to manoeuvre when he eventually arrives (tomorrow morning, maybe).
In amongst the rubbish I found a lot of pictures I took at various F1 races in the early 70's. My favourite is a picture of Clay Regazzoni, Mario Andretti and Jacky Ickx (all Ferrari drivers at the time) sitting on the boot of an old Fiat 124. You wouldn't be able to get a picture like that these days. All drivers spend all their time away from the track in motor homes.
Seems odd without any Saints game to follow this week and no crisis at the club to agonise over.
Sun's out.

If you are going to take that line it is far more convincing with the correct use of the Engerlish language...
