Good morning FFS
Didn't turn out too bad yesterday after all. Must've been a shower or two (that is 2 Jehram) as the roads were wet when I took a car load of shite up the tip but they must have been while I was indoors.
We had one of those Tesco microwave chinkies for tea - chicken Kung Po or whatever. Boiled up a few noodles to go with it and it was excellent. Were knocking them out at 3 for £7 last weekend.
Taking some mates out too lunch today. Intended to take them in July but the bloody shingles, school holidays and much else got in the way. Place we are going does a quite splendid fish pie so I may go for that.
Listening to the Holst Double Concerto. Croissants eaten. Socks are donned today (black - 2 of them) as I need to take the dogs out earlyish.
Have a huge one!

Morning. Work sucks, and I'm not even there yet. I need tea first.
Spent most of last evening helping my daughter and her friend with their History project on Native Americans, it was fun. I never had fun homework like that when I was at school.
HAs there been a news blackout on the protests in the US? Breakfast news seems to have ignored it all week.
Now I need tea.

Good morning. I made a tremendous discovery last night. At 10pm on Body & Balance on Sky channel 275 they are showing The Lovers' Guide - Extended. It is both the most explicit and amusing instructional programme I have ever seen on British TV. There is a bloke in it who likes a Neville brother playing D'artagnan. I can only think the reason they got away with making it so explicit is that you'd have to have a form of tunnel vision to get off on it. It made my night so I've plussed the rest of the series.
I also watched Revista de la Liga with Scott 'Wooden' Minto. If you've not seen the ref's slide tackle in last week's Granada game then look it up as it's cracking. The Real Thothiedad centre back's lob from the halfway line in the Basque derby was also a joy to behold so look that one up on YouTube too.

morning all, I see we've started where we left off yesterday, lobbing them out spot hey? And what is it with Yateley and his televised nookie, it's a good job I am not a footballer otherwise I'd be getting nervous about getting into a car with him! Tone, I've noticed the news blackout regarding the protests, if it weren't for social networking I don't think we'd even know it was happening let alone spreading across the States? I heard they also got the shít kicked out of them (the protesters) on the Brooklyn Bridge about a week ago, they also managed to keep that mostly out of the news, anyone would think there was some kind of conspiracy...! Also, the more desperate ends of the football journalistic world seems intent on stripping our prospects from us and giving them to crappy north London clubs, let us hope it is complete nonsense? however, this snippet of information does give us an opportunity to wonder whether our lack of transfer window activity (relatively speaking) might be because we have one or more players ready to make the step up to the first-team... that would be good

I guess concentrating on the period before the extermination began in earnest may be the answer.

Morning all. I'm currently sat up in bed looking out over the world outside and it seems pleasant enough; wind seems to have died down which will hopefully make it less bitter than it was yesterday. Hard to believe that this week started off with 29 degree heat and yesterday it was somewhere around 11 degrees. I had a dream last night that i woke up to a blanket of snow.
Has anyone else noticed how the change of seasons can be quite unsettling? I felt it yesterday but i feel a bit calmer today.
Thank feck it is Friday, but im not sure i am looking forward to the weekend without footy (or should I say Saints). I always feel like there is a bit of a hole to fill if there is no footy.
Here's one for Yates. I downloaded a film called All About Anna the other night for the missus and I to watch. It is basically a Danish soft porn film but with a proper plot n'everything. Apparently there are no close-ups or cum shots or owt like that. I think this could be the way to go.

I had no idea that was going on. How weird. You would have thought the Beeb would have been able to report that even if the rest of the media is Murdoch-gagged. The yanks must be pissed (in their sense) to protest against the corporate culture they basically created. Those tea party eejits get loads of coverage but this lot get ignored. Funny that.

Morning all.. chill and grey here, but not too bad cos it's Friday. Better get on a bit though as have a deadline to hit (tsk, don't they know it's Friday?!)
Went out for a bit yesterday locally for birthday drinks, then caught up a bit on Masterchef and the Fades, which is looking pretty good. I don't understand how some of you manage to watch other teams' footer games as well as other stuff, there's barely time of an evening to fit in a match.
Out in Greenwich for dinner tonight, should be a nice change; hopefully the hosts' newish sproglet will be not much in evidence...
I agree there hasn't been much coverage of the US protests...the Beeb this morning was covering world heritage buildings. Although I did have to chuckle - they were trying to get some sort of reaction to Preston bus station being added to the list and the locals were not playing ball..."Aye, well it's great if you want to catch a bus"
Enjoy...

Good Morning World Watchers
It's overcast here but dry and pleasant. Off to Apple Juice farm later to collect #1 of our juice. We still have a load from last years harvest still to drink FFS. There's still no sign of my passport being returned so I can't get back to Normandy for another load of apples until I get it back - hopefully it'll turn up in the post today.
My 'Policeman's Heel' was very sore last night and first thing today...not so bad now. Ms StB is nagging me to go see the Daktari but I suspect all he will say is to take it easy so it seems a pointless exercise - however, depending on the barrage of advice/nagging I may relent (or else manfully struggle on and say that it doesn't hurt anymore!)
The US protests have been reported - the problem is that they are so low-key compared to our town centre-sacking events that they don't make for dramatic headlines - even the Brooklyn Bridge chapter was a something and nothing story. There is an article in this/last weeks Time magazine about how the American Middle Class has been squeezed, mainly downwards, over the last 30 years and the widening gap between rich and poor is responsible for much unrest.
Tea needed,
... have a good day, y'all

The BBC website has had some pictures, and did report the 700 or so arrests on the Brooklyn Bridge, but I have found out most of the news from twitter and Al Jazzera!

Even World Service aren't talking about this although the US news channels were when I was there. Interesting, I was just thinking it is like the Western world's answer to the Arab spring. It's quite exciting because it could spell the end of Wall Street et al. bossing the world. I mean, it's crazy to measure prosperity based on an arbitrary value as people buy and sell to make a fast buck.
