Morning. There's football today, proper football; I'm excited and nervous all at the same time.
No other plans for the weekend at all.
Music is currently Falsos Positivos, a band from Velencia who are, apparently very political. The lyrics are all in Spanish so I have no idea (where's Costa when you need him?). I want to like this but it's a bit too "heavy" for my delicate ears. Just now I was listening to The Jerks, much more my thing.
Right, I need tea.

Morning. Sunny day. New car for Mrs Mando arrives today. Footie to be played.
I love this place. It always gives me a smile. When I drift over to t'other place, I am filled with gloom but there remains a morbid fascination to take the occasional look ...

Good Saturday to one and all.
Did the threatened repairs to our back fence trellis yesterday. Replaced two panels - a third is looking decidedly bowed but remains whole and connected to the posts so it can stay there FTTB.
Took dogs out late afternoon and stopped off at Oasis near Brading for tea and cake. This place is well known for its classic baking - their quiches are the best I've tasted and their cakes look brilliant despite me not being a full-on cakeman. Yesterday though I plunged into one of their egg custards and it was MEGA! Good to know such things are still available to lift the spirits of the downtrodden UK populace.
Got an invite out to dinner tonight. I always find an excuse to talk to the lady of the house to find out what is on the menu (so I know what wine to bring FFS) and it appears we'll be having a root veggie soup followed by Steak and Kiddly pie. Game on! Looks like this post is mostly about food....
Spoke to our friend in Derbyshire the other night. They are eagerly anticipating the visit of the Saints today. All is well with their world with the Rams giving Cloughie a new contract and Forest languishing down at the Pompey end of the table. We'd have probably been up there this weekend if I hadn't already booked to go up for my 60th next month.
Sausage sarnis soon I reckon.
COYR (or is it COYY today?)

Wotcha Beauts
It's beautiful outside too - once the dew on my overgrown grass has dried a little I shall be outside picking more apples but first a trip to the supermarket for some weekend victuals.
BBC Sport website, as usual, for me to follow the footie this afternoon - hopefully I should get back to UK and to SMS for Tuesday's match.
Music, for me, is R2 Sounds of the Sixties(SOTS).
Have a good day, y'all

Morning all, and yes indeed, it is beautiful outside. Was out there between 7am and 9am, taking some photos as part of my Photography degree. Some photogenic cows have appeared in the field at the end of our garden, so I thought they would make a good subject. Oh, and one for Baz here, our apple tree is heavy with fruit so I also took some photos of that. All of which is beautiful in the early morning light. And it certainly helped me to shake off a slight whisky hangover.
Now I'm writing up the results whilst watching the boyos and drinking coffee to warm up the old cockles. Footy will today be consumed through the medium of Dave; a victory today will be simply MASSIVE. If we can take 6 points from Derby and WHU, then I will start to believe just a little bit more. Rather excited about the coming few weeks, what with tickets for Reading and Palace in the bag as well as a tough challenge at home on Tuesday.
Anyway, must be getting on and doing my homework. I sincerely you all have a lovely day and it ends for all of us by watching the Football League Show in a contented haze of victory and red wine*.
* feel free to replace this with a tipple of your choice.

Morning beauties And what a fantastic one it is too. Crisp autumn mornings are one of my favourite things. Off to Littlehampton to visit my wife's grandmother today so I might get to go to the beach if I'm a good boy. Big test for Saints today but i think we'll get a draw. Briefly looked at the old site, what a hateful place that has become. Have a good weekend all. COYR!

Haven't heard of Falsos Positivos. There are a couple of good new bands from Palma you might like, Aspirina Infantil and Decraneo (interview in this months Maximum Rock n Roll) Are the Jerks the old band who had a song, 'Get that woofing dog off me?'

I hope you get something nice in return. I looked at the Ugly yesterday and thought it spiffingly entertaining. I wondered why we couldn't have a "Cortese causes epilepsy" thread over here. (Sorry - bad taste I know but I feel sure someone would have called 999 if it was an emergency. Two sides and all that.)

I can't think of any subject that wouldn't be the subject of a 'good old row' over there. It's sanctimonious waffle for the most part as I'm sure half of them don't give a toss either way but can't stop themselves getting involved in a mongboard melee. I agree with Rover that it's very entertaining - in a compellingly awful way. Seeing such odd personality traits exposed is very reminiscent of schooldays - does t'interweb mongboard life bring out the worst in people or are they like that in real life?

Heavy, SxE type stuff, but they seem to be political and DIY. I'll have to search out those bands from Palma, thanks for the tip. Yes, that's the Jerks, never one of the best, but quite enjoyable all the same.

Hiya!
Been out in the Cornish sunshine. Bought some pasties from the pasty shop in the town and the whole house is now smelling of them. Luverly.
Bloody Welsh. Can't rely on them for anything. Whoever wins tomorrows game gets my support in the final!
