Something needs to be done. Relegation from the PL equates to losing about 80% of your total revenue overnight. No business could cope with this.
I would like to see a two tier PL with tv money evenly shared between the two (18 team?) divisions. Promotion and relegation between the two PLs but no relegation from PL2. The rest of the league clubs should be semi-pro as there really isn't the fanbase to support 92 league clubs in England.
I wouldn't mind a Euro PL happening. Man Yoo, Chelsea and Man City playing Barca, Munich and Real home and away every season would provide much more entertainment than the PL does. If you take away the top 6 PL teams, the rest are just dross who provide little entertainment for the neutral to watch.

That's an interesting call. How about we call PL1 "The Premiership" and PL2 "The Championship" and then the two semi-pro leagues "L1" and "L2"? Which, let's be honest, is where the new financial restraints should see everyone end up anyway!
Do we announce it now or wait until the end of the season when the Skates are L1 and can't be promoted?
Are we pissed off when we get promoted to PL1 and there's no Manure, Arse, ManShitty and Chelski to play?

Things cannot continue as they are, but I am not sure I agree with any of the alternatives.
I got cross with the news yesterday, as they discussed the football news, which of course was all about the Premiership, mentioned that all the football news and games were going to be on Match of the Day 2 later and then they moved on as though nothing else had happened.
Anything from the Championship down is all but invisible.

Anything from the Championship down is all but invisible. Apart from the Championship play-off final of course, the marketing for which is predicated entirely on it being "the richest game in football". I doubt most of those who tune in give a toss about the financial plight of either club, but it shows you how obsessed the game is with money now.
