morning all, master beast has his birthday today, he is not having to go to school, is as fit as a boy can be with the snotty nose and because we aren't allowed to have a birthday party his mother has spoiled him rotten… He has more toys than he knows what to do with and is as happy as a pig in shit! All good here (apart from previously relayed news), hope you are all good? I see Saints are back to their usual ways… So, somebody actually watched the video of how we played and figured out we press high up the pitch and we don't have any pace at the back to catch the ball over the top or around the side… Sometimes I do wonder about football managers (especially the ones at Saints)! still, I would rather do that against Brentford in a cup nobody cares about than against a team like Leicester again… Hopefully that is our 9-0 done for this year and we can get on with actually being a good footballing team again? Maybe, just maybe, somebody might recruit a player we need before the window slams shut… I know, no fecking chance… But I wouldn't be a Saints fan if I wasn't (underneath all the cynicism) a hopelessly optimistic romantic!! The drilling has stopped… I wonder if I can venture out and see what has transpired? BTW, spot51, I think the Skoda was a good choice, should do you very nicely |

Happy Birthday to the smallest Beastling.
Meeting the Minister today to plan Drew's funeral then will reacquaint myself with our solicitor (or at least his son who now does all the work). Must remember to rewrite my will too. It probably reads like a history book - if not a fantasy novel.
Found a £50 Wightlink voucher in Drew's wallet. He won it in the raffle at last year's IOW Kidney Patients Dinner. Needs to be used before 4/11 so may take the (old) new motor for a spin on the mainland next month. Anyone up for a socially distanced meet? Always assuming we are not back in full-blown lock down by then...
Better get on.

Morning I am not talking about football, or cricket this morning. No builders here, but I have had a conference call with a watercolour expert to go through a spreadsheet that I am going to work on and I got ridiculously excited with us both working simultaneously on an Excel spreadsheet, with me in Wiltshire and him in Oxford. Witchcraft I tell you. If we are still able to, spot51 I would be up for a meet somewhere. Who knows what the next month or so is going to bring us, we just have to look on the bright side, but be ready for the worst. Right, I have the latest Americast podcast to listen to next |

Afternoon all
Busy getting everything tied up today, but I'm thereortherabouts. Now no more work for 10 days, yippee. Unfortunately we're going to plagueland instead of somewhere nice, but at least we'll see some folks. I'll give you a wave when I hit Amsha...being away it also means I'll miss see/hear-ing the next couple of game, but based on the previous two, that feels like a bonus.
Not looking forward to the plane/mask fandango; I get hot and bothered travelling at the best of times, so I imagine I'll be a right fluster (actually going out won't be so bad as it's a wee airport here, but coming back through Gatwick is less appealing.
Play nicely while I'm away.
