Morning Scummers
Finished my first MR yesterday and well into the Ukraine game now. Also managed a dog walk (moins DSBs so I had to go back and pick it up FFS) and picnic at Seaview and watched quite a lot of tennis and the 5th and 6th episodes of Silent Witness (95 vintage) which I'm doing from the very start. Drew used to love it so I eventually got into it watching with him, but in the mid 90s I was still here, there and everywhere putting the world to rights and having international jollies. My memory is so crap I doubt I'll remember where I came in when I get there.
Out today. We have cloud this morning so it will have to be then. Looks like it warms up later so me and the canids will need to be back home by then.
Enjoy the second half of 2021 - at least until domestic football starts...

I have taken the day off. Didn’t book any leave, didn’t ask, just decided I’d given them enough toil, so I stayed home. feck’em.

Re: tennis, just in case anyone is vaguely interested, the BBC are showing centre court in UHD via iPlayer app on compatible TVs. Can’t really tell the difference when watching football but it makes it a lot easier to follow the ball with tennis. They also showed the England game in this way but not sure if that is for all Euros games or just those at Wembley.

Afternoon.
Took the dog out for a walk this morning and was then in catch-up mode for the rest of the morning. This afternoon will be spent on MS Excel trying to work out the finer points of who has paid what and is owed what on our three Saints season tickets, so that I can get on and settle whatever the outstanding balance is.
PS. I am at full stretch at the moment, so my hissy fit tolerance levels are very low. Do not expect much in the way of sympathy for any sleights, real or imagined. We are in the middle of a global pandemic after all, whatever some half-witted politicians might be implying. Rant over.

Afternoon Quite, how can it be July? My missing of this was just underlined by having my card declined at the pharmacy.. appears it ran out yesterday (and of course I hadn't taken another one) Murky hereabouts, but I'm stuck indoors (apart from above brief trip to the shop) so meh to it. Haven't seen any tennis, but I guess this evening's footer-free-ness might make me have a look at some.

Work has been busy this week. 12 hour days and I've been getting up progressively earlier each morning in order to stay ahead. Last night I agreed to cover for a colleague with a sick kiddo so today I'm on 2 hours sleep. Our computer system just crashed right after I received 2 new consults, so in order to avoid wasting time I'm heading straight to clinic to work from there, meaning no lunch and I have to go back this evening. And I'm on call again this weekend.
In positive news, Austin FC just signed a Senegalese striker whos scoring rate of 1 goal per 4 games is significantly better than the current team rate of 1 goal per 6 games. And they play tonight, so not all is bad. If I can stay awake through the game.

Surely a goal against Portland... Watched a brilliant tennis match today - Angie Kerber (former champion and World#1) seeded 25 beat Sara Tormo from Spain 7-5, 5-7, 6-4 on Court 2 in a match that lasted well over 3 hours. Fantastic tennis with monster rallies and no quarter asked nor given. No wonder Wimbledon is so popular!
