Morning from sunny Cornwall. Our first few days away from home since September 2019. Yep, two whole years!
Went into Padstow yesterday evening for something to eat. Ended up getting fish & chips from one of Rick Stein's businesses on the harbourside. Moved away from the harbour and the aggressive seagulls to eat them in the sunshine. Walked around the harbour and then made our way back along the old railway line, now the Camel Trail for cycles and walkers. We had almost got back to where we had parked the car, when walking towards us we saw my sister and brother-in-law, who live near Fareham. Neither knew that the other was going to be here, or even that either of us were even thinking of going away. Bizarre in the extreme.
Our football team is beginning to have the look of something decent, exciting even. We just need to win a couple of games now. Still Saints have only lost one of the five games so far and kept clean sheets in the last two. Naysayers can slip back into their underground holes, thankyou.
No WIFi where we are and mobile is only 3G, so I am not sure about the Saturday match report. I can write it all up, but it would be way too difficult to upload everything. I will have a go this evening anyway.
Delighted to see Ted Lasso's triumph at the Emmys last night. Well done them.
Off down county now to enjoy the sunshine. Have a good day y'all

Still winless...... Great point at City on Saturday. Still some odd selections though. At least we are getting KWP on the pitch now, albeit not in the correct position. I think Stephens' injury did us a favour for the 2nd half and feel Elywotsit has peaked for the season and we need to get Tella playing instead. Finding the angst the UK/USA/Aus submarine deal is causing French President Moron greatly amusing! I think he's still stamping his foot like a petulant school boy!!

Morning,
Bright and sunny here, for whatever that's worth.
Decent weekend what with the City result (which I've only seen the snippet MOTD deigned to show) and the day festival we went to.. the acts were all decent, even if they weren't ones I'dve picked.. bill topped by the Manics and Razorlight, with Dr Hook and Nik Kershaw for the oldies, not bad for over here. Even better, having been forecast for rain all day, we took a bag of waterproofs but managed to stay in shorts and tshirt all day.
Not getting too carried away with the team's performance; granted I expected nul points from the opening 5, so we're well ahead there, and it's nice we're not shipping 50 goals a game; but we need to beat Wolves, Burnley & Watford out of the next tranche of 5 or we're still going to spend the winter looking over our shoulders.

To be fair, the Manics and Razorlight aren't exactly ones for the kids either.

There weren't that many yoof there anyway, they'd go to the other one that's mostly drum&bass

Frankly I find it hilarious that, while withdrawing ambassadors from Australia and the US, they don't consider the UK worth bothering with. That's what it's come to now, we are insignificant.
