I used to subscribe to the European edition as you never got real news in UK papers. The broadsheets were all Tory, the Grauniad anti-Tory and the red tops all tit and bum. Time was sound on UK politics and a weekly digest from across the pond was far more considered than our rags. Always took note of their Man Person of the Year and this year's nomination is no surprise. He is not without faults but has shown real leadership unlike that brooding arsehole in the Kremlin.  |

I subscribe to the digital edition of the Washington Post, not necessarily for American news, interesting as it might be, but to read about our place in the world, which seems to be diminishing by the day.
As for Zelensky, the as old saying goes, cometh the hour, cometh the man.

It’s funny because you just know Putin and the other big cheeses in the Kremlin assumed he was going to roll over and were completely taken aback when he stood up to them instead.
