… Festival
morning my beauties
It's a Meh kind of day in beastly, I'm up earlier than I would like to be and that has put me in a slightly bad mood.
I'm not sure what to do today
That may mean TV vegetation… It's a shame… The weekend was so nice (if a little windy)… I'm feeling all down with the removal of the sun which I was getting used to
I've definitely got 2 think about moving to Spain…

I just made tea, which is good. But I have to go upstairs and start work soon, which I really don’t want to do. But, I have to get through three days and then I’m not working for two and a half weeks.

Hello sailors
Actually it's me that's the sailor, having just departed Pompey to go home after my birthday week.
Had a cracking time, starting out at my folks then a couple of dinners out in Winch.. then met up with mates in a Airbnb in Bursledon to first go out to see Funke and the two tone baby (funke was also staying with us) and the Dub pistols in Fareham. Then we had a party Sat with another surprise guest- our mate Sam aka Samantics played a private gig for us in the lounge!
Going back to reality tomorrow is gonna be tough.

Afternoon all. It’s my last day at work for about 10 days and I’m having trouble getting any work done because I’m already demob happy.
A bloke at work is a musician and I was looking him up online the other day. It’s not my kind of thing but he can sing and write songs which is more than I could ever manage so fair play to him.
We’ve got tickets for Adwaith on Weds at Heartbreakers in Southampton. Remind me to include them when it’s my week for listening recommendations. I always bang on about Bug Club (who are now sadly drummerless) but Adwaith are decent and Welsh too. Bug Club are in Soton in early May if anyone wants to check them out. I’ve got their new(ish) album waiting for me at my Mum’s but will have to wait until I get back to Germany before playing it. I’ll have to think about some other stuff I can recommend. Rough Trade have signed copies of the new John Grant album but I’m trying to be sensible and hold off on that. I’ve already got a signed copy of the BC Camplight album. Basically all my recommendations will be acts I’ve heard on BBC Radio 6 in recent years.
My Mum has finally started watching Welcome to Wrexham and reminded me that my Taid used to work at Gresford colliery. I don’t know exactly when he was there but worked up top so would have been spared the disaster in 1934 anyway. Money was better at the coalface but you still got free coal without having to go underground. I know most people didn’t have much choice BITD but bollocks to that! A load of poor sods are still down there FFS.
I’m looking forward to a few days of R&R in the motherland. I’ll be hitting up all my high street favourites for British delicacies like chocolate covered custard creams (M&S) and Barbour clobber (John Lewis in Reading and Elphick’s in Farnham). My sis tells me there’s a fancy new cinema lounge in Farnham where they bring you drinks and snacks on demand. That sounds like a short trip to a fat arse. I must go to the Thai place in Farnham I like too. I love being a tourist in my own country. I’m alright for Marmite though as Mrs Y brought back a massive jar last time she was there.

I have had a shite day and don't really know why. I didn't sleep well but woke up feeling fine. It didn't last, and I have hardly been able to walk for the rest of the day. I blame a lack of Saints football in my life.
