Morning all
It's another Match day - three home games in a row now. Let's get 9 points and secure 4th by the end of a week today. I don't think we'll win, but I'm hopeful.
Did I tell you all about Slash and Myles Kennedy at Wembley Arena on Friday night? It was epic, but Feck me they make it difficult. To get into Wembley arena you have to access tickets through the Ovo Arena app. It's one of those QR codes that refreshes over 30 seconds. Apparently it's to stop unauthorised selling on of tickets. It was all working fine, except next to the arena where there were hundreds of people getting frustrated by their phones. The app was logging everyone out. So in the end we walked away from the building and both my mate and I tried to log in. He ended up logging in as me on his phone and we got in - so there's a fail for the safeguarding against unauthorised selling - you just sell your login for the event and change it after! Anyway, given the theme of my music last week I was very disappointed as this meant we missed the support act apart from one song! Slash and Myles Kennedy were fantastic though - honestly completely fanboyed out still and I've seem Slash six times now (twice with GnR, twice with Velvet Revolver, twice with Myles Kennedy). On the way home we had to queue with the England Women fans to get the tube back to Waterloo. It was quite strange being in a football crowd that was mostly families and young ladies and no one was being a dickhead.
Last night we watched Scoop on Netflix - was OK I suppose.
Music - Kerrang! radio Breakfast - just tea so far Socks - Black with a small embroidered Darth Vader

My cold is progressing and although I still don’t feel particularly ill, I’ve yet to get dressed and I’m huddled under a blanked feeling chilly. But I have the dog next to me, gently snoring, so I’ll be ok for a while.
Not overly confident about Saints tonight, but I’ll be listening while watching the Lionesses on TV.
No socks No music Porridge and tea

On the way home we had to queue with the England Women fans to get the tube back to Waterloo. It was quite strange being in a football crowd that was mostly families and young ladies and no one was being a dickhead. Best Wembley queue I've been in was after the 2012 Olympic 1/4 final between Senegal and Mexico. Good game finished 2-2 but Mexico won 4-2 aet and went on to beat Brazil in the final. Saw lots of players who later came to play in the Prem, not least one Sadio Mane... Huge queues for the Tubes after but the atmosphere was jovial - even with the mounted police. I spoke to one lass who said she was based in Yorkshire "but wouldn't have missed this for the world". There were groups of Africans, some doing that sort of shuffle dance, loads of oversized sombreros and, somewhere nearby, a Mariachi band FFS. The only drawback was that it was "Super Saturday" and we heard all three GB golds being won on the radio on the A3 home. Spent Sunday watching highlights.

Afternoon Bright out, but still very windy... is this something to do with the eclipse. On the plus side the weather meant I did get to see a group of yoof get completely drenched by a big wave overtopping the sea wall on my way in.. it's the little things. We went to Wembley for 2012 too, but to see TGB beat Brazil (ladies version), it was very enjoyable and certainly different to other visits there, although obviously not as good as the JPT. Speaking of africans and mariachi bands, I was once at a bar in the Gambia (around the time when Mane played for us) and a mariachi band (of locals, not mexicans) marched past playing OWTS, which was unexpected. No hopes that we'll beat Cov tonight, all aboard the misery moped for the rest of the season.

My Slovenian colleague was just showing me a story in The Sun about how UEFA had advised England fans to stay in the Bahnhofsviertel in Frankfurt when England are here to play Denmark… Now the Bahnhofsviertel is the one place in Frankfurt that I go to pains to avoid on safety grounds so for once I’m in full agreement with The Sun - that England fans should find somewhere else to stay if they can possibly help it! www.thesun.co.uk/sport/27195146/england-euros-hotels-germany-drug-addicts-violence/
