Finished watching The Gone today. Anyone else seen it? Very good tale set in NZ but with Irish nationals abroad. Left us hanging at the end so would not be surprised if a sequel were made. Loved the contrast between Maori and Gaelic traditions which made it a cut above the norm.
Sunday's Observer had some recommendations worth sharing. There were 3 "big" movies I've not seen. Recorded "To Live and Die in LA" (1985) which was on C4Film last night. Friday BBC2 has Jane Campion's "The Power of the Dog" and Comedy Central has Robert De Niro in "Midnight Run" on Saturday.
Two new TV series begin - Wednesday sees NEW episodes of "The Repair Shop" on BBC1. I know it has been on for months but those were repeats and this is a 25 programme run of original stuff. Saturday on BBC4's international crime slot sees a new series of Norwegian rozzer "Wisting" back on the trail of the bad guys.

Anyone watching The Dropout on iPlayer? Think it is a US Disney production. It's pretty good. Stephen Fry is part of the cast.

Can't say we are, this week has been mainly This Town and Snowfall off iPlayer, both of which are decent if occasionally heavy going and The Gentlemen on the Flix for light relief.

The Gone was good. Not watching much, apart from Taskmaster and Have I Got News For You, although we have a couple of Mary Beard programs recorded, as well as a couple of Episodes of Defiance: Fighting The Fascists.
When I was sat on the sofa this morning feeling a bit shit I watched most of the third series of Mandy.
