So do I. You just knew what was going to happen.
But not even the ever-optimistic Jickster cold have possibly predicted how shite that was. Leicester somehow escape a thrashing and we do the usual 'should be 6-0 up'.
And the Stuart Armstrong with a potential year -long injury. He should get whatever care he needs from Saints contract up or not.
Play -offs - I don't think we have the Balls for it. Which we will need in the play-offs. No chance.

I blame McColander. Two games back - automatic promotion goes south...

Quite... the misery moped is the only way to stave off karmic juju. But we are flat track bullies and good as we are, we can't stand up to pressure...like a penny shop City (I don't think we can even claim to be pound shop) we can easily be found out by physical determination...even the Welsh PE teacher managed to beat City ffs.

Guilty as charged. But the funny thing is, most of what I said actually came to pass- except I hadn't expected even Saints to pass up quite so many opportunities. When I saw the lineup I thought Cardiff had no chance with their best players missing, and they had a few youngsters making first starts or even sub appearances. To be fair, those players dug in quite well and kept at it, although the quality they had should not have been enough to trouble us.
But the first hour was going really well- Saints fans even gave me a rendition of 'is this a library' after 40 minutes. Even the half time break didn't change the pattern and we were probably even better for the first 15 minutes of the second half, I could not envisage any way back.
Adams and Armstrong, I dunno, they are just Championship strikers and are bound to miss chances. It's frustrating and easy to say 'if we had a good striker we'd be top of the league', yes but if either of those were genuinely good, they'd have scored more goals for us last season and we wouldn't have been relegated. They are good for this level: we have the 2nd and 5th top scorers in the division you know! But this level still means that they miss a hatful of chances and leave us open to being caught out. It's probably too philosophical for when we've just had a defeat that ends our automatic promotion hopes, but we generally like being a good team in the Championship and you have to take the rough with the smooth because you don't get teams that can play like a Man City type machine. Sometimes the best players at this level make mistakes.
Cardiff rode their luck and took advantage, I'm just gutted it was this game where that happened because far worse teams than Saints have visited and Cardiff have just wilted or gone through the motions and lost. And to lose with such a shitty deflected goal at the end, really summed it up.
Anyway, it was a weird experience being in the home end. When Aribo scored, I had no problem just sitting smugly and keeping calm. When the equaliser went in though, I stayed sat down as all around me jumped up. My son (who was supporting Cardiff) told me I was giving the game away, so I did belatedly stand up without clapping. By the end, I was already pretty deflated as a draw was as bad as a defeat so was able to just grimly stand there and think about what I'd witnessed. I have never done this before, but I put a bet on Saints to lose to give me some compensation in case of this very outcome. So that winner did pocket me £30, which I clung to the thought of as I trudged out.
So overall, I'm sorry I gave everyone the impression it was gonna be easy. In my defence though, it really should have been easy.

I blame McColander. Two games back - automatic promotion goes south... He didn't have many shots to save, but he had no chance with either goal. And apart from that he was actually pretty good- a very decisive punch to clear away a corner and dealt with a cross pretty well.

Yeah, I think the main problem was at the other end with our front three all picking the same game to compete for miss of the season.
