We were dreadful, if we somehow go up through the play offs (I actually don’t think we will make Wembley) next season will be embarrassing !

Russ seems to think that was ok. TV people say he looks broken. We have absolutely no chance in the playoffs no matter who it is.
We have no bollox at all. Again TV saying any team would want Saints. Half the chickens home now.
On the plus side we will not get to see how this side ( or anything like it) would fare in the premiership . On the negatives we play Portsmouth twice next season and they will be thoroughly up for it.

What’s the saying? The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result?
Leicester showing just how easy it is to undo RM’s style of football. Other teams have done it already this season but Leicester did it properly. 5 goals with half the possession! Clinical and so many came from stupid errors.
We have thrown a season away on a fraud of a manager. Fair play in getting the club back with some unity and positivity but he’s just not good enough to be leading or building a squad / team to win automatic promotion. If we do fluke our way through the play offs I’m genuinely worried about how bad things will be. I’m not convinced we will get to Wembley though. Certainly not building any momentum.

Glad I had no way of seeing or listening to that.
Stoke will look forward to getting the points to keep them up Saturday.

Thank god I stopped watching after the second goal went it. I did go back and look at the score to see if it was worth watching the last 10 minutes. Holy Moly. Totally overwhelmed by a side who saw what others did to us and did it way better. I don't think Martin has a vague idea how to turn this around. If we play Norwhich we may stand a chance of getting to Wembley. West Brom have too much steel about them for us.

It was a shitshow of the highest order - they've done us 9 (sound familiar) - 1 over the season and shown a gulf in class.
1) Man for man they were better over the pitch - I can't think of anyone in our side that would get in theirs (even considering they've got Vestegard, FFS), given Stu and Flynn (and the real KWP) were missing, and even then probably not. 2) Our confidence is shot - this is extraordinary given the run we were on, and the blame must lay at RM' door - all that fecking around with formations and dropping decent players to fix some glitch that he thought he saw has done them in... play your best players in their best positions. With hindsight, loaning Brooks (and Rothwell, but he's shit anyway) was a bad move as it unsettled both AA and the Edozie/Fraser option on the left, and that's before you get to the whole fecking around with a settled defence thing. 3) RM was thoroughly outmanaged - Leicester fans have been moaning like us about the ball-retention and playing out from the back nonsense, but when the chips were down Maresca went pragmatic and destroyed us. 4) We must do everything in our power to lose the playoffs (Which shouldn't be too tough for them) 5) Fuckety feck feck feck

That simply underlined my repeated bleat that our defence is not fit for purpose. We saw manning standing off his man and bednarek turning sideways when the golden rule is "face the ball" ffs. All too often their attempts to play Man Cityball results in a poor pass being intercepted or a team mate being played into trouble. Even the much lauded KWP is defensively suspect. We need a big, dominant No.5 who will organise the back line and a proper keeper. The fact that we have 2 of the leading scorers in this league reinforces this for me. Next season (in the championship) should be a rebuilding exercise with the promising youngsters given their chance which may or may not breed success but certainly won't be as miserable as spending a season being battered.

I didn’t think it was possible to break KWP but RM has found a way.
When KWP starts to look dodgy you know you’re in trouble.

At least that's how I read it. The boy needs to stay fit to get a new club. He deserves one, he's one of the few rays of sunshine we have this year. Good luck to him

Sulemana boils my piss but he’d have got Vestergaard sent off within about 5 minutes of coming on if he’d been given the chance. The one time we can exploit a centre back with a Titanic turning circle and we pass it up. We know he can’t handle pace to save his life and we never attacked him because RM likes a patient build-up and we have to wait until the opposition has jogged back into position to defend against us in numbers. It’s cretinous.
