Now it no longer matters I half expect Saints to go and win this.
With the injuries racking up, what will Martin do? Will he stick with McCarthy, or with one eye on the playoffs, will he see how Lumley handles the pressure?
Then there is midfield and what the situation is with Downes?
Question, questions.

It matters because there needs to be a reaction. We need to work out the midfield three post Stu's injury that are most likely to work best as a unit and can still help us break lines.
Ultimately though its a needless extra opportunity to pick up more injuries or lose confidence before the playoffs.
In other circumstances it would be really interesting to see us take on the other two relegated clubs again now we're much better at Russball. Cant see myself enjoying it though.

For the first 60 minutes. Midfield 3 : Charles, Brookes, Aribo. AA on the right, Frazer in the left. Che down the middle. Then : Sully and Smallbone to come on for whoever is the most knackered. Other changes depending on the game situation.

I’m In lanzerote, watched the Cardiff game with a few fans from various clubs, at the start I said saints would lose to Cardiff but beat Leicester, I didn’t do this bet but the odds for the double worked out at just over 30/1, I mentioned this to a Leeds fan as it’s kinda how Saints work, he put £20 on it! Wish I had now !
As for the Leicester game, I’d actually put Stephens in defensive mid, so the full backs can push on, save Downs for more recovery time

Fraser has looked anaemic since his injury and our loss of form.
Cant help but think the best thing we can do for the playoffs is start him and try to play him back into form. He can shoot.

Rothwell can shoot too but we need to get him into shooting positions. I feel sorry for Curly Stu as he was desperately trying to get us back in the game when he got injured. He also did his best to put Sulemana out of action.

My word we were awful tonight. We deserved a heavy defeat. I think Russell Martin said before the game whatever he normally saves for half-time.

They did mention the 9-0 again. Could have been.

Good grief that was awful. As I said in the ChatRoom, Playoffs? You’re having a laugh!
