What a crap weekend.
I’m working on the van, but struggling. There’s a fine line between having enough storage and having enough space. 299 (away walking in Scotland) has demanded a redesign of the kitchen area. She doesn’t want a sink. In my view, it’s not a campervan without a sink…. I’m doing all the work, but can’t piss her off too much.
I bought a new outfit for our civil partnership. Smart (ish) casual (very). I’m 5’10”, but every pair of trousers seem to be made to fit the Harlem Globetrotters these days. I took my new pair to the local seamstresses on Friday and picked them up yesterday. Unfortunately I didn’t do the old “measure twice, cut once” thing and when I tried them on it looked like I’d borrowed a spare pair from Ronnie Corbett and then put them through a hot wash. Bugger. They cost a packet, so I’ll have to pretend I was going for the middle-aged hipster look and style it out.
All that would have been bearable if it wasn’t for Saints. I’m just tired and angry now. Roll on Monday (words I never thought I’d say…).

Also still angry. I can't get the wastefulness in front of goal out of my head ffs.
Anyway check in for my flight opens in an hour and then tomorrow we're off to Nashville and Memphis can't wait.

I'm not even angry any more..just sad. It was just so painfully predictable that they'd tease us with the possibility of catching the top 3 but then fluff their lines in a relatively easy fixture.
Then that's compounded with the sadness for Stu missing the playoffs and the Euros and for us never seeing him play again

Yes, I have been through the anger thing, then the sad thing and now it seems to be a resignation to failing at the first attempt with all that implies.
I am still bloody furious about the club reorganising the whole stadium thing. They can just feck right off.

I’m looking forward to seeing how Saints manage to shoot themselves in the foot during the play offs.

I’m not angry, it was disappointing yesterday, and we should have scored more goals, but that’s football. It’s not the first time Saints have done this, and it won’t be the last. The stadium rearrangement is just bonkers though, and I can only see it ruining the atmosphere in the ground. Still, it was good to see the Women win today.

If AA was any good he’d be playing for Newcastle United rather than Saints.
I think we need to employ MLT or Shearer or someone decent as finishing coach.

I once wrote in a annual appraisal the Sgt Smith had a habit of not only shooting himself in the foot, but then immediately reloading, taking aim and shooting himself in the other one.
Sgt Smith in his right to respond completely agreed with me and thanked me for actually being honest with him.
Sgt Smith was busted down to Cpl within 6 months for openly arguing with a Senior Officer - he retired from the RAF some years later having eventually progressed back up to Sgt. I saw him at a reunion a couple of years ago, he recounted with some amusement my time as his Reporting Officer!!
