What's that awful stuff to the side of it though? . Tea? I can see a sachet of HP Brown sauce, which is the only allowable coloured sauce with pasties.

I can see a sachet of HP Brown sauce, which is the only allowable coloured sauce with pasties. I took it back with me. Pasty was good enough without.

Tactical error today. I somehow ended up with a Cheese and Onion pasty but (TFFT) it was actually very good...

Just picked up an extra large traditional from the Pasty Store at Paddington - dinner sorted!!
Can I add chips just to add to the heart rate?

I love pasties but they do not exist out.? here. I sometimes make my own and make myself believe they are real. It's the best I can do in this otherwise civilised part of the world.

When I went up to Nottingham a few weeks ago they wanted £7.50 for a pasty at the station. Didn’t bother with that! This beauty was £2.50 in Devon yesterday. I asked for a Cornish Pasty but was corrected "You mean a Traditional Pasty, Sir!" West Devon claims the pasty as its own. Apparently they were invented down the Tavy Valley where copper and tin used to be mined.

As a lover of pasties & Cornwall - it’s been interesting to debate with the Cornish folk about the way pasties are so much better in the West Country. “It’s a recipe that’s been handed down for generations. It’s not processed crap in retail etc “ That , literally, sums it up for me . Be there , in Cornwall or Devon & enjoy a HOME made pasty . Wonderful 😍
