Dirty Leeds won last night. Grr! They’ll be cockahoop by the time we get to Elland Road FFS.
I don’t like Leicester and I’m not overly optimistic about our chances tonight, especially as we don’t have much to play for.
I have finally started to catch up on the music thread and have added some choons to my running play list.
I’m in the office today but CBA.
Ms Y has some horrible cough that’s keeping her up all night and preventing her from going to school. I’ll probably get it next week.

I’m not thinking about tonight’s game.
I had to turn the news off this morning, it was all about Rishi’s inhumane “Stop The Boats” bollocks and then they weirdly kept saying “Happy St George’s Day” to everyone.

A bad day all round yesterday: Dirty Leeds winning and the crackers Rwanda plan being forced through.
From what Martin has been saying, it is clearly all about conserving resources for the playoffs now.
As for this fecking government, the Rwanda plan will not make any difference to illegal immigration whatsoever. Its only effect is to make them look like they are uncaring and out of touch. Which, of course, they are - in spades.

The Rwanda thing was inevitable… what a stupid, contrived, hopeless and embarrassing waste of time and (huge amounts of) money. Even Richard Tice-but-Dim from Reform says it won’t work. It is both immoral and illegal. Roll on the election, so the half-witted plan can be chucked in the bin. I’m very quiet at work. I really need to pull in some business as I’m chucking cash about like confetti with the upcoming CP, the van and the Masters trip. I think I’m finally over my jet lag, though. I’m avoiding the match tonight and having dinner with an old mate. I don’t think my blood pressure can take much more. Flat white. Turquoise socks (yeah - you got a problem with that, sunshine..?) No music yet - eagerly waiting for THE BEAST ’s Tuesday offering

Morning
Nice looking day here, and even feels a mite warmer. Only in the office this morning as I have to pick MrsJ up from the hospital after what is hopefully just a precautionary investigation scan...but she needs keeping an eye on after so will wfh in the afternoon.
Can't bear to look at the news...why anyone would waste so much time and money to victimise a handful of people just for propaganda is beyond me. Even leaving aside the moral aspect, it's a baffling attempt at diversion which surely can only fool the epically stupid.
I'm fairly calm about tonight's game.. the season's gone, so all I ask is that it's not embarrassing.

afternoon folks, sorry I'm late.
My 2nd tune is up on the music thread, bit of a step change from yesterday.
I was in the pub quiz last night with a Leicester fan, to be honest they are just as fecking nervous as we are, but they only need one more win really, and, as I said to him, I think we are going to provide it to them today.
We wouldn't win anyway because it's all gone sideways for us, but without a good midfield anchor and our 45 minutes of creativity (Stu) we've got no chance. Not even going to mention our peculiar striking practices.
Saying that, I completely understand everyone going "Saints are going to beat Leicester after losing to Cardiff"… It would be very Southampton… let's hope hey!

Oh - and a pine cone! 😉 I know mobiles are banned, do you actually have to give them in when entering? It’s worse than that… we we among the first there and still had to queue. I had my bag searched at the course entrance and they found my ear buds… also on the banned list (unknown to me). I was told I had to throw them away, or check them in. I seriously considered binning them, as my Dad had already got through security, but was told I could hand them in at a building 100 yards backdown the road. I yelled at my Dad to wait there, then got told off for running… was very apologetic in an English charm way… checked in my buds then had to queue for another 10 mins to get back in. Best to leave your phone in your hotel, although I left mine in the compound used by our tour organisers. To tell the truth, the phone ban is a brilliant thing. I’d like to see it at gigs, all sporting events etc. You don’t get stuck behind some muppet holding their phone above their head, you don’t have the distraction of emails etc. and you watch through your eyes, not a tiny screen. We’d like to go back next year to watch a practice day (as well as a competition day), when you are allowed to take a camera - not a phone though. The only photo we have of the day is one that you get taken free by a pro photographer on the Founders’ Circle with the clubhouse behind you. Dad and I are grinning like ninnies in ours! If you’re thinking of going (and you absolutely should!), pm me and I’ll give you full details.
