Morning
The Forum appears to be running very slowly at the moment, but normal service will be resumed as soon as possible. It is still working, just slower than a slow person's slow bits...
So, automatic promotion is gone (although if we could beat Stoke 8-0 and then Leeds 3-0, we might go up on goal difference. Yeah, right!), and it is now down to recovering some semblance of confidence for the playoff games. Winning the next two games would help.
This is the last time I will be sitting in my current seat for a league game, and who knows where I will be sitting next season — maybe at home?
It is fecking pouring with rain here, which seems somehow appropriate.

Just having a last cup of tea before making our way down to the match. Still feeling optimistic we will find some form and go into the playoffs a little more confident. However, i do realise I could be on the 6pm Waterloo train later feeling totally miserable.

Surely we can't be as bad as we were at Leicester, can we?
I have no real plans today, so I expect I will be home listening to the game later.
I've just been reading a Dutch fanzine (it's written in English, thankfully) which had an interview with a band I have known for years and years, but it was interesting to read about their discovery of punk back in the late 1970s and then their route into the DIY scene in the early 1980s. Its was remarkably similar to my own, being in a small area outside of a city and thinking that there were no other punks around and although not knowing what they were doing they decided to form a band. Me and my mate didn't form a band, we started a fanzine not knowing what we were doing, but just wanting to do something. That band are now in their 60s and still playing, while we're in our late 50s and still doing it. Getting into DIY punk is like a life sentence, there is no escape.

Mafternoon
Had a pleasant evening out yesterday at the cinema; unfortunately the Mrs was delayed so we didn't have time to go out and eat before as planned; however I got some bits from the shop and we had a little picnic while watching the adverts/trailers. For a while we thought we might be the only people in the cinema, but sadly a couple of ladies came in, but they weren't any bother. Enjoyed Dune 2 (see other fred) and nice to get out.
Today I'm unfortunately working, which wasn't planned but after Thu was rearranged for me I now have to do Thu's work today, mind you the weather's not much cop, so whatevs. Hopefully not for too long and I can get out for a bit before 3 and the moped riding. Can't expect too much from Saints, but it would be nice to get 1 more win before next season.
Red socks Gyozas and broccoli in oyster sauce, some tea 3 bean salad / samples from the music fred

Came home to a letter from Old Bill. OOTC videoed me mounting the pavement to pass a bastard dustcart holding me up for my emergency dental appointment before hols. This place is getting more like East Germany where the miserable feckers used to report citizens to the Stasi in the hope it would improve their shitty little lives.
And Saints can feck right off. I could have watched some of the stuff recorded when I was away instead of listening to that limp shite.
At least Bay04 2 Stuttgart 2 was again another classic. First time this season Leverkusen have been 2 goals adrift in the League (the other time was away to Quarabag) and they got the traditional 97th minute equaliser to keep the unbeaten run going. Didn't we used to have one of them or am I hallucinating?
