Isn't it about time Saints won at Wembley again?

I was there. I still vividly remember seeing the ball bouncing into the back of the net before my view of the pitch was blocked by people going mad!
The other memories that have stuck in my head are a Man U fan shaking my dad's hand before the game and saying "bad luck." Getting crushed against a crash barrier at one point as the crowd surged. Man U hitting the bar. Asking my dad if I could shout "shit" in reply to the Man U fans' "United" chant, and him saying yes. Then asking dad if we could stay to see the cup lifted! After the game my older cousin carried me on his shoulders down Wembley way. Getting home in time for Match Of The Day and watching it all again.

My uncle and granddad were both there but are no longer here.
I did inherit the signed FA Cup pennant, along with all the newspaper clippings and match programme.
I also had the final on VHS but that’s not much use these days.
My granddad was matey with Woodford and that obviously helped when it came to obtaining memorabilia.
