I’d better start workshopping. I was thinking of something along the lines of Norman Wisdom (“Mr Ramsdale! Mr Ramsdale!”) but that’s a bit of a stretch. Smallbone is lucky I can’t come up with anything for him. Slowbone, Shitbone, Nobackbone, nothing really works. At least we’ve finally got rid of that Argentina international and can look forward to many more years of Basingstoke’s finest failing to realise he’s in acres of space before passing backwards. Wasn’t there also supposed to be a CNM sighting tonight? That was very useful thinking. At least we’ve started doing medicals now. |

Its a really good signing if it happens, and even the most hardened cynic has to give the board credit that we're sticking our neck out to do something permanent rather than blowing some cash longer-term on a loan with just an option.
We will need to remember he isn't perfect and hasn't played ball at feet as intensively as he's about to. One thing I like about him that I havent seen much mention of is that mentality-wise, he's got some voice, a bit of leadership.

Hopefully the end of ‘scattergun 24’ and actually someone ready to start. A huge upgrade on Baz/Mc.
Whilst not the top level, he is safely in the middle level. In our relegation season, before Raya came along. Ranked 10 in shots stopped at 71% and had a total season XG of -1 goal suggesting consistency if not brilliance. Again ranked 10.
Well documented Bazunu stats were 52% saved and -21 goals XG. Statistically we would have stayed up if that Ramsdale was in goal.

Interesting. Can play ST, but seems to have almost totally been used as a RW .. and scored from there too. The rumour mill seems to be showing we want to get an AMR and a ST in before the deadline. |

What do we think happens with the last two days approaching
- Ramsdale obviously - but let's use the ol' Onebeat 'not until it's on the OS
- New attacker - not sure what flavour but it feels like we're in for a RW come ST
- I also think we'll do very late deals for Wee Man and... I think JWP is coming home personally, just a feeling but there's enough noise and I think there's only one club that would take him. RM says we're well stacked in his position, but we also know that he does improve on Aribo, Smallbone and Fernandes, Les, Dibling are all young so I think JWP and Lallana would really help
Out
- Seems RM is chucking ABK in the shop window and that's a shame because he showed last night he's head and shoulders above the two new CBs and I reckon it's probably fair to say he's better than Jack and probably THB right now for the PL.
- Tall Paul - we'll take whatever is offered as the window shuts
- If JWP does come in I wonder if we might look to shift Aribo on - he's probably got market value and I like him but I don't know that he's enough at this level.
- Larios, Edozie loans - Larios because he really needs to play and is behind KWP, Taylor and probably Manning (at the moment). Edozie because he needs a good (Tella style) loan to a good Championship club - he's ok at that level but needs to grow into it and make better decisions
Possible curveball - KWP leaves but I hope not

If we got him in with the current team, it'd be madness given the no of LB's we have... the only scenario it makes sense is if KWP is on his way out (but even then, why a LB not a RB?) |

I feel like JWP would be keen but surely we can't do this and get a striker? I like the idea of the Juve guy as a left wing back if we are going to play 5 at the back more this season. Could be an interesting 36hrs. |
